i googled the number and found this page,,,
i followed some ppl, called back and pressed "1",
and they said my number is removed from their list, in 40 hours...

I just got my second call from this number.  It's Rogers promotions, alright.  They received a rather stern rebuke from me for their troubles.  Just because they know my number does not give them the right to hawk their wares at me, at their convenience.  They do not understand that concept, somehow.

They have been calling me 3-4 times a day, every day for over 2 months. I've tried everything to get them to stop. I've answered and told them to stop. I've called the number back and followed the messages to get my number removed from their list. I've refused to pick up for the past month, even though the calls continue unabated.

I would like to legally charge them with harassment. The calls have woken me up, disturbed me on weekends, interrupted me from important activities, as I run to the phone only to see their number on my call display.

Any suggestions?

rogers sucks. I have been having this call 2-3 times a day for the past 4 days

Getting calls from this number since several days. When I answer the phone there is nobody there. They (who ever it is) does not leave message on voice mail. they are very persistent, call several times a day. Very annoying, even so I don't answer anymore. The Canadian "do-not-call" list does not seem to work. I registered but still receive all this calls -  anybody knows what can be done?

They've been calling me for over a week now. At least twice a day. One in the morning, one in the evening.
I didn't bother to pick it up until this morning, and then there was nothing ... no one on the other side.
I bet they just try to find out which phone number is working, and then forward to the information to other companies, such as Rogers ... etc.
Really annoying. How do I stop them?

can someone sue rogers. is that how they make money.[***].STOP

this number calls me all the time, it's always silent if I answer, but if it goes to voicemail it sounds like there are people talking...

all you need to do is Call it back follow the e z instructions to REMOVE your # from their list. took me less then 2 mins. very simple.  its rogers.  its about making money what do you expect?

They won't stop phoning me either -several times a day on my cell phone!  It is some company working on behalf of Rogers, but they always sound so sketchy (if someone pick up...  And I do not do business over the phone.  I do not trust that they will remove me from their list and seeing as it hasn't worked for others on this forum...  I'm not going to risk having my number on some other list.  And my phone does not have an ignore list -older model.

And the 'do not call list' run by the CRTC is a joke.  Do not sign up for it, it leaves you vulnerable to more annoying calls b/c the list can be downloaded by anyone with a credit card number.  See the CBC Marketplace report on it from a few weeks ago.

I called them back today because they have called for the past 2 days when I have been out and it gives me the hang up sound after one ring. If I do get someone I just start talking jiperiss to them and they stop calling

1 800-395-8813 calls everyday consistently.
Today they called 7 times and it's only 6:00pm

Just got a call from this number.  After debating whether or not to answer, I did, but there was only silence on the other end.

I am a Rogers customer, which seems to be a theme here as well.

Just called them back. Chose english. Then gor "Thank you for calling, good bye."

You have to opt out of Rogers marketing. I called them and said if i receive one more call I'm canceling all my services

We've received several calls from these fools trying to sell us a 'great' Rogers home phone-- in a Cogeco district.  Ted Rogers must be revolving in his grave.

Have been receiving calls from 1-800-395-8813 for months at least 5 times a day. They called today (a Saturday) at 3:31pm and then at 4:27pm. The 4:27pm one I answered, and just after saying hello I heard a click on the line and some woman was on the phone. I asked who she was calling for and what she wanted. Told me she was calling from Gemma Communications on behalf of Rogers. I am a client of Rogers and told her that if I needed anything I would call them myself. I asked her to take me off her list and she said she would do so (like MANY times before without ANY SUCCESS).

I then immediately called them back (1-800-395-8813) and the automatic voicemail mentionned that if I wanted to stop all the calls I would need to dial 1-888-ROGERS1. I did. I then spoke with a guy and told him that as I client I was more than fed up with this whole situation. He said he would need to fill out a form to make all the calls stop permanently. Told me it would take about one day to process my request.

Hope this will work. Will keep you posted.

Added my number to their DNC list at 12:46et. They said request would be processed within 24 hours but it may take up to 48 hours for it to take effect. Let's see!
