- stefnyThey call us at least 10 times a day and last week my dad finally answered the phone and the guy wanted us to get in touch with the guy who lives across the street! We don't even know that guy! WHY IS HE CALLING US?!
- Caller: HSBC
- Doris DentonI want them to stop calling me. They do not leave a message, and they call every day several times a day. I refuse to answer any call that does not leave a message. I am not going to buy anything from them either. I do not owe them any money. So quit calling me.
- Caller: I have no Idea
- BINGO BABETHIS CALLER HAS CALLED ME TWICE A DAY FOR THE PAST 2 MONTHS AND I DON'T ANSWER 1-800 NUMBERS. IN FACT I PICKED IT UP THIS MORNING AND YELLED INTO THE PHONE TO STOP CALLING ME!! ISN'T THERE SOMETHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO ELIMINATE THESE 1-800 NUMBERS. I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST, BUT IT DOESN'T HELP WITH THESE NUMBERS. IT'S PRETTY ANNOYING TO SAY THE LEAST.
- Caller: NOT PROVIDED
- Caller IDAccording to http://www.everycall.us this is someone wanting to enter you into a contest. They told me that they wanted to me to purchase magazines. I told them to [***] and hung up.
- cinIve been getting calls from this number as well 800-446-1022,I do have 2 cards with HSBC I'm sure they are calling to sell me something I don't need!Ive told them already I'm not interested But the keep calling!
- Linda RosenthalI am on the do not call list - DO NOT CALL!
- KittyMarie1-800-446-1022 called today and asked for my husband and when I asked who was calling they wouldn't give information and said there was no message to give then hung up on me. I immediately called the number back and went through the options and requested that our phone number be removed from their calling list. If they call again I will be contacting their corporate office. They have no right to keep calling you after you have requested to be removed that is against the law. All of our numbers are on the DO NOT CALL list including cell phones. This is ridiculous that these 1-800 numbers keep calling and I'm getting fed up with them. I don't know how many times they need to call someone before they get the hint that we don't want it anymore. I will start taking action on these companies and filing formal complaints.

- billI say Screw the people who call you, SUE the people who gave them there phone numbers. After all there the ones who issue them the numbers, they should be the ones to get flashback from all our complaints. It's no use in trying to find these [***], but it's easy to find there land or cell companies.
Just a thought. here some other #'s these guy's got - HSBC cardholderEven if you are on the DNC list, they can call you. It's because you have an existing business relationship with them.
I tell them not to call me anymore, they don't listen.

- OregonJust received this email which might be helpful when these [***] call: Tips for Handling Telemarketers
Three Little Words That Work … 'Hold On, Please...'
Saying this, while putting down your phone and walking off (instead of hanging-up immediately) would make each telemarketing call so much more time-consuming that boiler room sales would grind to a halt.
Then when you eventually hear the phone company's 'beep-beep-beep' tone, you know it's time to go back and hang up your handset, which has efficiently completed its task.
These three little words will help eliminate telephone soliciting.
Getting those annoying phone calls with no one on the other end
This is a telemarketing technique where a machine makes phone calls and records the time of day when a person answers the phone. This technique is used to determine the best time of day for a 'real' sales person to call back and get someone at home.
What you can do after answering, if you notice there is no one there, is to immediately start hitting your # button on the phone, 6 or 7 times, as quickly as possible. This confuses the machine that dialed the call and it kicks your number out of their system. Gosh, what a shame not to have your name in their system any longer!- Caller: HSBC
- Nelson RothReceiving repeated calls from 800-446-1022. I mean repeated. No message. Nothing.
From reading above it seems that HSBC has our number. It takes 60 days to be removed from their list? Well, I wonder how long it took them to call us once they got our number. Not 60 days I'm sure. And, I concur with a writer above, "It's a bunch of crap". - MCLThis is a real PIA, Pain In the Neck. We have caller ID and do not answer numbers without names. This one calls one day, once a week, every 1/2 hour. Goes to answering machine and nothing.
