this number calls me at least 2-3 times a day between 9-5 when i'm at work...anyone know who it is?

I have been receiving this number calling for weeks.
I decided to call the number directly.
They are a financial / service / communication industry vehicle for whatever they are contracted to do.
The phone message gave me the option to entry my cell phone on their NO CALL Lists. All seems above board.  They mention a 72 hours wait time to eliminate my cell number from a master list.
Fingers crossed.
BTW I believe the company is called Sypes or something close to it.

Here is one way to block phone calls from 8005449568. I'm in eastern Canada and we use the Aliant phone network. They have a service you can add (or might already have) to your phone account called Call Block, press *60 and you will be told whether or not the clock call service is enabled on your account. Once it is available on your account you can log in the telephone number(s) that are harassing you, or, wait for them to call you whereby you can block the last number called.

After they call (doesn't matter if you answer or not), pick up your phone and press *60 and the phone company automated service will ask you if you want to block the last number called. Follow the instructions. I think its press 1 for yes, then press #1# to confirm the blocking.

After that...not more calls. Period. The next day I had another telemarking company call me, I blocked their number too...no more calls.  I can now each my lunch in piece and quiet.

Receiving calls every hr. get at lleast 8 calls a day. Called to have it .blocked but it does'nt work with 800 in front of the number.

This number call 4 times a day its annoying I don't know what they are doing my answering machine receiving beefing and beefing only not even left a message.  Please remove my number on the list I'm sick and tire this telemarketer people.

Numerous calls a day, have a unlisted number for reason, very annoying, from morning until night, late night, want it stopped

I got 48 calls within 9 days!!!!

Caller ID says SYKES.  They recently merged with ICT.  www.sykes,com

They leave no message, so I don't know what they want.

Calls numerous times and does not leave a message. Could this really be important if no one has brains enough to leave a message?

Those idiots won't stop calling no matter what. Called me 5 times today already. Don't ever do any business with the company and don't even pick up because if you do, your number will be marked as "active" and it's gonna get much much worse.Scroll through your "missed calls" and if you see this number anywhere, report them to the police.

Just removed my number too! They warned you that it can take up to 72 hours to delete your number so you may receive other calls during that time! I hope not!!!

This number call my phone every day. I wonder why?

Something I found that is handy in stopping telemarketers using automated dialers or computers to dial, is to find a sample of what telecom specialists call the 'turkey tones' or special information tones. They are the three tones you hear in ascending pitch that signify to another computer that the number called is disconnected or otherwise unavailable. Record those tones first, then the rest of your answering machine message.

The upside is that if a computer is calling your home, it will hear those three tones (and not the rest of your personal message that you have recorded) and remove you from its list. Humans calling your phone will hear them too, but then the rest of your recording immediately after. The downside is that a company that has legitimate business calling you (like a department store calling you to let you know your goods have arrived) will get the same 'disconnected' message. Also a human telemarketer will not be dissuaded much. Still, I've found this has cut my telemarketing calls right down.
