I just phoned my local TD branch and she went through my account to make sure there was nothing they needed to talk to me about then put a Do Not Call on my account. I hope it will work as I've been  getting 6 to 10 calls a day from this number.

Same person wants to speak with my wife. Calls her by name. At least 3 calls on Mon. Oct 18 and 8 calls on Tuesday Oct. 19 (10:43, 11:15, 2:17, 2:50, 3:23, 4:01, 4:40, 5:58). Really annoying!! First call, hesistant after I said hello, waited then hing up. Second call, similar, replied "Nope"  when asked if my wife was home then hung up. Want this nonsense to stop!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried that and they are calling more frequently now!

I get numerous calls from this number every day...... why? They have become a serious nuisance. Why can't these numbers be blocked?

try calling that number back, wait till the end of message and it will ask if you want your number put on the do not call list. Continue with that procedure. It should take 72hrs, that's what they say. If that doesn't work call 1-888-495-8501 its an OPP phone buster, they should get the job done.

I keep getting calls from this number and it is totally pissing me off.  I answer and there is no one on the other line.....this is costing me money on my cell phone.   HOW DO I MAKE THIS STOP!!!!!!

I got called by this number too. I dont know who it is!

I think everyone should call the company directly and ask to stop calling

They said the exact same thing to me and said they were giving me a free trail for 30 days to help protect me from identitiy theft and then charging my visa 19 dollars a month for it. I never gave out any banking information so i do not know how they plan to do this as well as saying a number to cancel it which he did not give me twice

answer the darn phone, tell them to stop calling, and they will. ignore the phone call, and they will keep calling until told otherwise. it is pretty simple people.

This is a third party telemarketing company (called Sykes) that calls you to offer products for a company from which you are a customer. For example, if you have an account with TD Bank, Sikes will call to offer a credit card from TD bank. Since you have an existing business relationship with TD bank (or whatever company that hired sikes to call you), they are exempt from the national "Do Not Call List" as they aren't considered telemarketers.

To be removed from their calling list, callback 1-800-544-9568, press 1 to be entered in Sikes' do not call list, they will ask for your number, enter it, and they will cease calling you.

I have the exact same situation :S

They have called me multiple times for a few weeks now.  I have always ignored their calls.  However, right after you ignore the call, you will receive another right away.  Very annoying for those who have other things to do than screen phone calls.  The company is called Skype and they claim that they do business for the fortune companies.  I have called them following some of the emails posted and have optioned to have my number removed from the calling list.  Apparently it takes 72 hours to have my number completely removed from the list. It also says that you may receive more calls between now and then.  I will keep others posted on the outcome and as to whether or not my number has been removed or whether we would have to contact our wireless provider.

Its a company called Carlton ?????.  They claim they are a credit card monitoring company contracted through TD Canada Trust.  Dunno, but I told them to stop calling and the guy said he would add my number to the do not call list

I'm from Toronto, this number calls me daily but leaves no messages.

Ive been getting calls from this number daily but leaves no messages ( It is so irritating! )I actually never can take the call, always busy. Now they have been calling in the evenings and weekends and I refuse to answer!...If it is so important to call that many times you can leave me a message.

call 1-800-544-5568 back, listen to recorded message...wait... you will then get a message to add your phone number to the no call list, may take 72 hours ( so they say)

Yup... I've confirmed what everyone has said.  It's an outsourced telemarketer from out West.  Just call that number back and press 1, and then enter your phone number on your touch tone phone.  They'll stop calling after that due to CMA regulations.

When the message is done, there will be a woman telling you to press  1  to be on  the do no call list and to type in  your ten digit cell/ phone  number. It takes up to 72 hours. It is very annoying. They have been calling me non stop for the last week now.
