Report a phone call from 800-592-3429 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- John| 1 replyGot an automated call from 800-592-3429 saying Lawshawnda Wright needed to return the call and use a specific reference number. I did that and spoke to a live person who gave me a name that I am sure was phoney. When I asked what this was in reference to they asked me If I knew "Lawshawnda Wright". When I said "No" they abruptly hung up. When I called back and got the same lady I asked "what is "Diversified Adjustments" and in a VERY NASTY tone she said "It's does not matter your phone number has been removed" I asked if I could speak with a supervisor and she said "No" and hung up again. I called back a 3rd time and got "James". He said "It's personal between Lawshawnda Wright and us and I am not at liberty to release any information." When I explained to him I am on the US Government Do Not Call Registry for telemarketers and it is 9AM on a Saturday morning his reply was "We are not telemarketers". I then asked again "So what is Diversified Adjustments" and his reply was "Have a nice day" and he hung up.
I have had this same cell phone number for 7 years how could "Lawshawnda Wright" have given my cell number to anybody? - SeanThey call my mother at a house I haven't lived in for 11 years. She tells them I we don't speak anymore (not true) but they keep calling her.
- JayeCalls me every day or so and when they leave a message it is for someone that does NOT live here nor is someone I know, the call usually comes in at 8:02 AM my time.
- MKTaylorI have been getting a call from this number from the past 4 mos and I can never reach them and when answer the phone no one says anything - how can I get this to STOP
- LaLaThis guy that he said his name but i don't remember but it had started with a "J" and they were harassing me on the phone an was very roud. I would like to report this person. They had no rights to call my phone to argue with me or try to argue...............
- L.RockThis company has called me every day for the past nine days. I let the answering machine get the calls due to so many calls like this. I called the number back. I requested to speak with someone by hitting ' 0 ' for operator.
A person answered and I told the person I was calling back to have them take my phone number off the calling list. I was asked what is phone number then I was told that it was in reference to a collection agency. I asked for what and then I was told it was for Sprint. Never had a cell phone and no contract with Sprint.- Caller: n/a
- Zebra 3I also have received many calls from this phone # 800-592-3429. This AM, I called that #, and a rep named Kristen id'd herself as the Diversified co. She was very pleasant. I told her that someone from that co. was leaving msg asking for someone named Jeff, then I said that Jeff did not have our phone #. She said "so Rodney doesn't have that #?". Apparently she was checking our home # which is the one I called from. I told her I was actually calling about msg's left on our cell phone, for a person named Jeff. She checked that # and said she would take both of them from the system. Let's hope so, and we'll see if that happens. She never asked me about an account, but I figure these 2 people actually owed money, or if there was an attempt being made to scam them.

- H.H.I received the same phone call today (from 800-592-3429). It is tricker. This type of trick speads all over the world. Just block the phone number!
- mjwI relentlessly receive phone calls from these people who give their first names but do not indicate what company etc they are representing and what the phone call is about.
- Caller: unknown
- mjw replies to NickkiGreat information. Thanks for that.
- Trice| 1 replySprint sold my collection account to Diversified trying to collect on a debt that was based on their own lies and sneakiness. I told them to kiss my [***] and I went to Verizon. Here is how you get the calls to stop. If they violate this, then take them to court sue them and them pay them the "owed debt" with their own money. Good Luck! http://www.sjconsumerlaw.com/PDF%20Files/ceas ... r_creditors.pdf

- Sharky MalarkeyThis number calls my house every day three or four times a day. The person they seek doesn't live here at this number, and they even lied and said they only got this number yesterday. Liar!
- L.Has called my mother's house everyday for two weeks. They tell her that I gave them her number and that I need to call them back. I haven't lived with my mother in 2 years, why would I give them her number? But when I did call them, someone picked up and I asked for the person who was calling me. They put me on hold for 40 minutes, and then it went dead.

- sick of these peeps!!!I just filed my complaint with the FCC about Diversified Adjustment Services.
They have been calling my house now for sometime, after informing them that the man they are looking
for does not have this residence.
I have owned the same number for 5 years, and lived in this house we rent for almost 2.
The man that they are looking for did live in this residence, but never had my number.
I suggest if you want something done about about it, file a complaint with the FCC.
The BBB is my next visit.- Caller: Diversified Adjustment Services

- Not "John" replies to lmjI've gotten several calls over the past few days so I decided to start calling them up and harass them in return.
Needless to say, after a few dozen telephone calls where I was able to convince them that I knew "who" and "where" they are ( Minn. St. Paul ) and that I have nothing but "time" to play games, they got bored, apologized and took me off of their calling list. Best time to call/harass them is 12:00-1:00pm EST as they answer the telephone quickly - just don't use caller I.D. block as it won't do any good because they won't answer any unidentified calls.
Spoke to all women and actually had one woman start to cry she was so frustrated after I kept making up false information for her i.e., fake names, addresses, bills & accounts I owed, gave her bogus accounts & info for all sorts of stuff and kept her on the phone for 10 minutes and used the information she gave me in my next call to them to convince them that I knew "all about them".
Start by asking questions like "are you having an affair with my husband" and/or "why did you break up with me" and "would you like to get together for some casual sex" .... but quickly then remind her that you've already been told that she was a lousy lay and that's why she's not in a solid relationship, etc.
... just have some fun with the idiots and you'll walk away smiling and off their list. - laurai get these calls all the time asking for someone I dont know, thanks for posting a company and address, im sending a letter via certified with return receipt and if they do call again too bad for them then it is called harrassment, and hopefully a nice lawsuit

- Chase Jennings replies to NickkiWell, you're right and your wrong. Technically, they can call whoever they want (depending on the state), unless you send them a request in -writing-. Regardless, why would a good collection agency want to? You're certainly right about the business, though. Once you tell them to NOT CALL YOU AT YOUR BUSINESS, they cannot call you there anymore, period.
These idiots are horrible collectors. I work for a collections agency, and while we collect on Federal debt rather than this nonsense..I would think that they'd use better tactics.
I had a phone call today from a Kim, and like any curious collector I called it back. This idiot was incredibly rude and confrontational right out of the gate- and beyond that, wouldn't let me get a word in edge wise. Her way of controlling the call was just stupid, (being rude, saying confrontational things), and thus I just began to laugh at her. She then asked me what was so funny about owing $500 to Sprint, I told her that it was hilarious if she thought she was going to get a dime out of me talking to me like that.
I then proceeded to explain to her that I wasn't going to pay her because I simply could not afford it, and didn't feel the need to pay it. I'd tried to pay sprint a year ago, but they wouldn't have any of it... so they didn't get paid! That simple. She immediately started going on about how I can afford my current cell phone, so how can't I afford payments, etc etc.... she still seemed to be missing the point that I wasn't going to pay.
I told her that she was an idiot, and that I'd rather just wait for it fall off... rather than deal with bad collectors. She told me the calls would continue, I told her to keep calling. xD
The next time, I'm going to talk to her manager, and give her a coaching. If she'd been polite, if she'd approached it differently, then I -might- have paid them something. She didn't, however, so I'm not going to. Not with this agency handling it. >_> I'll wait till they sell it to someone who knows what they're doing. - Chase Jennings replies to JohnYeah, they're not completely off, but the rudeness isn't necessary.
It does not matter if you are on the do-not-call list. There is no do-not-call list for collectors.
They cannot tell you what it is about, or what they do. It violates 3rd party laws.
They can, however, be polite. Which they're not. They're morons, what can you do? - Chase Jennings replies to TriceYES! This is what I was going to point out- the only way to get them to STOP CALLING YOU is to send them that letter-

To their address. That's it, the only absolute solution to the problem. :) I'll be doing it tomorrow.
