received a call regarding verification of Medicare Benefits but I had to verify my social security number. Of course,  did not provide anything. asked her to repeat her name she would not. asked her to provide a call back number.  She provided 1-800-633-4227. I ask for her office address to confirm the Social Security local office address. She hung up.  thanks to all of the people who have posted that this is a scam.  I strongly believe the sole purpose is to secure i.d. information.

Same thing with me, did not give information he wanted, just said I will get my card and put him on hold, I think he is still holding !

i got the same phone call with no message left.  WHY CAN'T THESE PEOPLE BE STOPPED if its illegal to spoof a number.  Is there anyone on this planet that we can voice our complaints too.?

Some guy with an Indian accent tells me he is "calling from the America".  I asked "where?"  Then he said he was with the United States Government.  I acted very shocked and asked him if anything was wrong.  Oh my God...  Then he hung up.

Received a phone call from 800-633-4227, caller Id stated United States Government and the caller identified herself as being from Medicare.  She said I qualified for more benefits from Medicare.  Since I have arthritis she was going to send me a back brace and a shoulder brace.  When she ask me to get my Medicare card to verify number I refused and told her I was reporting the call.  She hung up immediately.

Caller ID displayed UNITED STATES G, which I assumed to be government. When I answered, a man with a foreign accent claimed to be calling from Medicare and said he needed to update my information.  I knew it was a scam but wanted to string him along.  He read my street address and asked me to verify it (I would not).  I asked for his name and phone number, which he gave as Martin Brown, 800-234-1687.  I told him I would call him back, and I hung up.  The number he gave me is not in service.

This number is Medicare but suspicious because they didn't give their name. Just for me to call back. No extension number or anything. Caller ID said Marine Corps recruiting but I know this is the Medicare number because we have called it before about claims processed wrong, etc. She was a female and said she would call back tomorrow.

Caller with Indian accent called and told me I qualified for back and knee braces. I told him I did not have back or knee pain and not to call me again. Definetly a scam. I blocked the number.

In the past two weeks I have gotten 4 calls from this #, I called the Medicare # ( it is the same #), the lady told me Medicare Does NOT call us from that #.  So yesterday I answered the call, after a very long pause a man with a very heavy foreign accent answered and said he was calling from Medicare? I told him that was very straight  because Medicare told me they don't call us from that #? WHY IS THIS ALLOWED????

This number kept calling me so I finally answered it. The foreign sounding man addressed me by my former name, so I knew it was a scam. I said that wasn't my name and he was arguing with me as I hung up.

Did not answer it because they were calling on a Saturday Medicare is not open on Saturday

Indian guy called twice to ask personal.hrath questions.  Asked drs name and birthdate and health ins and wants tonsend pain cream.

Have received 4 calls from this number.  Only once did someone reply and said his name was John.  Would not reply when I asked what he wanted.  One other time, I redialed and the answer was Medicare etc., all our agent are busy, please wait etc.  When an agent answered I asked why are you calling and they had no record of anyone calling.  It is a scam.  Called ID is showing 800 Medicare - 800 633 4227

A lady called for my husband,without introducing herself. After a little prodding, she claimed to be with Humana on behalf of Medicare. Seems shady,as the caller ID just says TOLL FREE CALL, and she did'nt identify herself, and hubby hasen't had Humana for 2 years now.

I have received numerous calls from this number i called it back today and it says its medicare but the guy talking when he calls me  says he is my old insurance company.

Called today. Tried to sell me a back brace. I hung up on her and blocked number. Phone ID said Medicare Medicaid. Scam.

this person keeps calling me to get my medicare and AARP information sometimes 2 -3 times a day and when I give it to him I don't know what he does with it because he keeps calling me up sometimes 2-3 times a day  and tonight when he called I told him not to ca;; me again and he said fu and he hung up on me.  I did not get his name but I wish I had because if I had anything to do with it he would not have a job now.  I have difficulty getting around because I had polio when I was only 3 years old and I still have difficulty walking,
