Those who say that this is a legitimate Medicare or government phone number are full of beans!  It's a scam claiming to be Medicare.  I got called, and I don't even have Medicare!  Even if you do, Medicare does not call you unless you have requested to be called.

Greetings, I got off the phone with the caller by the name of Jesse who identified herself as calling from Medicare, spelled out our home mailing address, stated the name of my deceased mother on file, and insisted that we needed a back brace to massage us whenever we feel pain instead of using painkillers. I told her that it is NOT good for the customer service representative to anger the customer who doesn’t want a free back massage support just for being a Medicare recipient. Thanks.

Claims to be Soc Sec Office calling my work number and asking for my wife.  Knows she is on Medicare and expects me to forward the calls to her number or to just put her on the phone.  Every call, I explain that she does not work for my Company - but the calls continue.  Insane.

They called 9 times within 7 hours today. I picked yp the phone once and received that delay before someone came on the line. I hung up before anyone came on the line, then checked this site and saw all of the below messages.  I have since blocked them.

Received a call from this # just now, did not answer, and no VM was left.......keep calling because you will stay in my "Missed calls" as I don't answer unknown numbers for this very reason...........

Got this call 2 days in a row, could hardly understand anything this guy from India said, I told him i'm not interested and said do not call me back again. He called today anyways, I reminded him that I told him yesterday to stop calling me, his reply was his laughter followed by, Na-Na, Na-Na-Na WTF!!!! Either this is a SCAM or CMS has hit a new low due to government funding cut backs? Don't answer this number, it is a SCAM for sure. They will eventually stop calling if you don't take their calls.

Called today but I did not answer and no message left on recording.  Probably a spoofed number.

He insisted he was calling from Medicare, but could hardly speak English. The number was 800 Medicare. [***]

I get this same call all the time!!!!  I tell them I cannot understand a word they are saying and tell them to go @@@@ themselves!!  They call again, I answer....."Sherriff's office"  they just babble on......I hang up.  I do not understand why these kinds of calls cannot be stopped.....they track everything else!!

Got a call from this p ghost phone number and said the
y were Medicare. Asked if  I got new Medicare card . They knew my name and address. The person, woman, spoke very broken English. I said no please send me a new one.

ID showed 800-medicare. When i answered she immediately started talking about a back brace. I asked in rapid succession why she called me about a back brace, did I request a back brace, why would you as medicare would call me, etc. She said we are not medicare. I said then you are a CROOK spoofing the medicare number. DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN. Then hung up. There has to be something that can be done to stop these crooks.

Received a call from this number and it Caller Id'd as from Medicare.  I did not answer and they left no message.  If it was a legitimate call from Medicare, I'm sure they would have left a message.

I called this number and it was Medicare but she said they wouldn't call unless it was something real important or they were returning my call. If I didn't answer they would leave a message.

I received a call today from this number.  The caller had a heavy accent.   He asked if I received my new Medicare card yet.  I told him I don’t have Medicare and asked him to remove my number from his calling list.  He hung up on me.

Got a call from this number 800-633-4227 yesterday and hung up when the lady said "Medicare" and was busy chewing her food at the same time! Immediately after that, I got calls from  210-239-0052, 715-240-2175,940-209-2136, 956-448-5394, 601-228-3677, all of which went ignored. This morning the 800-633-4227 is calling me again The number per Google is a medicare number. These people should really be ashamed of themselves trying to scam and extort people - what if someone did this to their elderly parents/grandparents - they would be pissed! I know these scammers probably also read these reviews so here is a message for them GET A REAL F**ING JOB!

Just got call from this number it does show on caller id Medicare , I did not answer ,no message left on my answering machine. Spam calls have really increased over the last two years.

If they keep calling back, and if you finally get fed up and want to answer, say "Hello, you have reached the home of Chief Petty Investigator so and so, of the IPCD, which stands for the International Phone Crimes Division. I am investigating a Medicare phone scam that has recently been going around. May I have Your name, address, phone number and social security number please? And do note that this call is being traced, so do not lie to me, as I will be able to distinguish if you are telling the truth or not.
