got a call from 800-642-7676 stating it was the united states government.  hung and blocked number so tired of this crap

THIS IS A SCAM!!! Low life pieces of human crap faking that they are from Microsoft or other organizations to try and steal your information and money. These are scum bag pieces of human crap. THIS IS A SCAM!!!

The Caller ID said "July" so, I answered with "August."  After a pause, a woman with a strong Asian accent (and a lot of chatter in the background) said she was with Microsoft, asked a few questions as to whether I'd made any computer changes, and told me I'd been hacked.  My reply:  B***S***!!! and I hung up

receive calls once a day from this number. no answer when i say hello they hang up. i CALLED number back and it does say microsoft. not intereasted.

Scam to repair your computer.. Don't believe a word they're saying...

This is a scam, they use a similar number to a Microsoft support line so that you think it is legit but it is not. How do I know? They called me saying that there was a problem with Microsoft on my computer, I do not use Microsoft as an OS, I use my own systems. They get your email and phone number through online surveys and the like.

We have gotten many calls from this number. It's always a man speaking with a heavy Indian accent. They start with they are calling from Microsoft because my computer is infected with dangerous viruses that they will "help" me fix. Today was the icing on the cake, though. They called from this Microsoft number, but the man with the Indian accent wanted to tell me how he could give me a U.S. federal grant of $9000 and all I need to do is verify my information.  Sure....I will hand it right over!!!

Called my cell, I sent to Voicemail as I do all calls from numbers I don't know.  No message left. I then read this thread and added the number to my reject list.

Caller ID said ""Microsoft", and since I know Microsoft doesn't make calls, I didn't answer.  I wish these dang idiots would get a real job and leave us all alone.

I get these calls constantly and have tried everything to get them to stop. Anyone have any answers??

her name was jessica from microsoft saying i was hacked & full of errors  that she was calling  to scan & fix any problems after 1 1/2 hrs i noticed nothing was happening so i went to contact support so a real teck checked me out & got my pc running again that is when i was told microsoft does not call their customers customers have to call them 1st then they return the call kucky i don't have credit cards or money to speack of lesson learned hopefully i won't let the hacker in again

Definitely a scam:  Microsift won't proactively calls you telling your pc gets infected by virus,  their internet security or anti-vurus app/ software did the job. Don't fall for it.

since the do not call thing is worthless there is a free app called call blocker it works great . I now have 89 numbers in it. the do not call is crap they should do away with it . it does not work and never did .

Received something about a grant and how to get it. I replied what are you talking about?  She then hung up.  Had an India accent.

This number has just started calling me and I hope it stops because day after day someone is calling me 3 and 4 times a day and it gets really upsetting. What has happened to the No Call list. It sure isn't working.

This number calls constantly and I finally answered. He was non American. I asked to not call this phone any more and he said why? I told him I was on the do not call list and I was reporting it to them. He said why i not want him to call and I asked him who he was and he would not say. He said I can call you and I said what do you want and he said nothing and I said then I'm confused and he said why you confused? I said cause you keep calling me what do you want and he said nothing I just called you and now I calling back.  So I asked what do you want and why you keep calling me and he said nothing. I said never mind I'll just let the do not call registry handle it. Then I blocked his number. There was a reason I'm sure now I wish I hadn't answered cause it was probably a hack.
