- rvisualPhoned at 5:40 pm. Guess what, Microsoft does not call people on the phone. It was an 800 number, kind of a surprise for a scam phone number. Add to Block List.
- Caller: microsoft
- George PYes, the number 800-642-7676, is listed on the Microsoft web page. But I recvd call today on the 800 number, which I have blocked. Within a minute after the block, phone rang again with #409-866-8595 in the display. I have this one blocked as well. Within approx. 10 seconds after this block phone rang once more with the #409-866-8595 on phone. Hooray for the block function. Wish it could accommodate hundreds of numbers cause I would use every one of them. Maybe for some of my "friends" too. LOL

- EdI actually enjoy screwing with the [***]. I generally try and come up with most insulting thing to say to them based on the accent detected. The latest guy said he had detected errors from my computer. I strung him along for about 5 minutes asking him to repeat himself. He kept asking if "I was in front of the computer" I said yes and he asked me "What did I see". I told him..."I don't believe this it looks like a picture of you f@$&ing a monkey" He was silent for a minute and then hung up.
- Caller: "Microsoft"
- kayeI got a phone call from this #800-642-7676 stating he was from microsoft and wanted to speak to my husband, I asked him what was this about and he started saying something I could not understand what he was saying since he had a India accent, I told him to remove my phone# and he said no that he wasnt going to remove it, I advised him if he didnt I was going to report him and he told me again he wasnt going to remove it. I just hung up on him.

- Tired of callsThis number has called me 6 times in two days, I have not answered the call but looked up the number on white pages and it states the number belongs to Patrick Wayne John Evans and is a legit number. I called the number and it is Microsoft tech support, when I finally get someone live on the phone he tells me Microsoft does not contact people by phone and that I should change my number if I want the calls to stop. After reading that these phone calls have been happening for years, I might just answer next time and blow a whistle in the phone, or play a disconnected tone into the phone.

- Tech_GuruAnswered call, typical Indian Windows support scam... Google it. Once you understand how it works, it's quite entertaining to mess with them.
They also operate www.microsoftstore.com under this 800#. stay away from it. Shame on bing/google to put scammers at the top of their search pages.- Caller: Fake Microsoft
- Call type: Prank
