Got a phone call from this number today.  It is Omni Credit Services.  They received my debt from Blair Credit Card Services.

This is horrible- the people at this phone number are screaming and yelling when I asked for a manager to tell them I am not the person they are looking for- they ask for a Erin Goodwrich and I have no idea who that is not anyone even close to that name- they dont care they call me day and night and leave msg. I stopped calling back to tell them it was wrong number- now they are calling not saying who they are and when I call back they are screaming and asking for personal information- of course I have no outstanding bills or issues so I know they are a scam.  They have been asked several times to take me off their list and they keep calling.  This is insane- how rude they are and they never send me to a manger- they tell me they are one- obviously they dont record any of their phone calls.  They need to be sued for harrassment then maybe they would stop their nonsense.

They just called here at work asking for an employee...I asked if it was an emergency....he said no personal business..I said then call their PERSONAL PHONE...he said I am just going to call back in 10 minutes...I said go ahead and I will hang up on you.   HOW STUPID ARE THEY?

I have asked them to not call me on my cell phone between the hours of 10-5 as I am at work.. and yet the repeatedly call me even though I don't answer my cell. One of the collectors have gone so far as to tell my mom that they will call every hour which by the way is illegal. If they can't reach me on my cell they will call me at my house number and vice versa. Just two weeks ago I got 5 missed calls in a row from them within a 10-15 minute time period. Everyone I have come in contact with is also very rude.

Different people call me from this numbet several times a day, filling up my answering machine. They are asking for people that I do not know and I have told them this and they keep calling.

Recieved a message: "I've  been trying to reach you (no name mentioned). Please call 800-670-9944.". They were leaving an extention number, but all I heard was 1,1, and the call faded out. It was a women's  voice.
I called the number, a man answered and asked me to hold while he checked to see who called me. Since it was an initial recorded message  and he didn;t volunteer what OCS was...that's how he answered...I just hung up!
This recorded message  comes my phone at least once per month. It stumps me because I'm taking the call and the recorded message is saying they have been trying to reach me...like it's a real problem.

Got a phone call from this number today.  It is Omni Credit Services.  They received my debt from Macy's Credit Services.

I disconnected my AT&T home phone number. It's still plugged-in so I can make a 911 call -in case of emergency. Anyone who calls me gets a message from AT&T saying the number is disconnected, and it refers them to my new number.  Starting the first day after the disconnection, I started getting calls on the line by various people asking for other people by name. My answering machine, which is still hooked up, recorded messages asking me to call this number, (800) 670-9944. They don't have my name, and I don't owe anyone, so I never called the number back. I suspect this is some kind of a scam, run by someone with VOIP or SKYPE, as normal calls from regular numbers are unable to get through AT&T. It's been more than 6 weeks since I disconnected my number. I urge everyone, to report these calls to your phone company, and reference this message, so perhaps they can prosecute these people!  You may want to check out the Federal "Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. Do not answer their calls. Use call blocking or accept calls from a designated list of numbers. That solves the problem pretty fast.

I've received a number of calls from Omni Credit Services. They also are using a number in NY (518-478-6870). I do owe money to several creditors. However, this company is violating, consistently, every protection provided under the Fair Credit Act. I continue to receive calls even after sending notification to limit contacts to written correspondence only. I also demanded proof that they are legally permitted to collect the debt as an assignee or purchaser of the debt from the original creditor as provided by the Fair Credit Act. They've not responded. I am now filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General of NY. If you want to stop this company, you have to be just as persistent as they are and use all legally available means against them.

I just got this call looking for someone that I get collection calls for all the time.  I spoke with a rep and they told me they would remove my number...let's see if that happens.

I've been getting calls from 1-800-670-9944...Sometimes its the woman telling me she's been trying to reach me for some time now, and sometimes it's says there's a message for David Ramero.  Either way...I'd like it to stop.

so...I called to have my number removed...and the guy says that he can't tell me what their company does because it will violate David Ramero's rights.  Dumb.  Likely a Debt Collector.  Anyway...it was a wrong number and it will apparently be removed

Reverse harrasment can close down Omni.  E-mail everyone in your address book to call their 800# at 8:05 am, 12:05 pm,  4:05 pm and 8:05 pm.  Since there are 4 time zones, this will clog their # so that even those wanting to contact them are unable all day long.  The following week it can be at 12 after the hours, another week 24 after the hour, etc.  When those trying to contact them are unable, they will lose their source of income.  They will change numbers and start again but it is effective reverse harassment - enjoy & have fun
