Check the Fair Credit Act.  No creditor can contact you by phone without contacting you in writing first.  It is a violation of the Fair Credit Act.  Also, if you contact them IN WRITING, sent certified, signature required, telling them this is not your debt, or if it is your debt, that you are unable to pay it and their calls are harming your health, they CANNOT call you again.  Report them to the Attorney General of your state.

Keep getting calls from this number. Speaker starts before machine picks up.

got a call from Mr. Hill...did not call back.  said I or my attorney need to call him back by the end of the day.  Did not say what it was about.  This is the second call from him.

I received a robo call from this (1-800-670-9944) number on March 7th, 2011, at 4:50 PM. That's the number that showed up on my Caller ID...

I did not call the number back, the reason being it's highly probable they'll capture your telephone number if you do. So anyone that gets a robo call from this number, and is curious as to who the call is from - don't call the number back...

As to who the call is from, it's Omni Credit Services, ergo a collection agency...

What I suspect is the case, they're after whoever had my telephone number before me - I've only had the number for about 4 months. And no collection agency would have any reason to be calling me anyway. I'm debt free...

Do not engage these [***]! Do what I do - get a whistle and blow it as loud as you can into the phone! It's not effective on robo calls though, but it definitely is if a live person is calling...

That's when you say:

"Liar. Liar. Pants on Fire. This number is incorrect. You have been told this multiple times. If you call me again I will pursue legal action."

You don't have to actually pursue anything, just make the threat. Calling you repeatedly is against the law once you've told them they have the wrong number.

I have never been to the US and I still get constant calls from that company. I bought one Skype-In number so clients can call me from the US cheaply. Even though I explained to them that the person they are looking for probably dumped this number long time ago. Idiots. I am in Turkey BTW.

They call and leave no message; I never pick up unless I recognize the number...and they call early AM which is annoying.

all year i have received calls from this company asking for my husband.i have told them several times he is deployed to afganistan and that he would take care of this matter when he returns.they will not listen and continue to call.yesturday on april 13th at 9:03am they caled again and i told them hey look he will be back in a few days and will take care of this matter with you all and to please stop calling me and that im tired of being harrassed over the phone.the man replied look you aint being harrassed you [***].i quickly hung up.he called back at 9:06a.m. and i said i have nothing to say to you stop calling me and he replied im going to keep calling you.i hung up.again seconds later he calls again and i said stop calling me and he replied listen [***] im going to continue to call you until you settle this, i told him i now have you for harrassment and i hung up.again he called at 9:07am and i did not answer.this morning on april 14th at 8:02am the same man called my cell phone this time and i said lok he will be back in a few days call back then and i hung up.seconds later he called my house number and i said look i just told you to stop calling that you can call back in a few days wehn myhusband returns home, he replied it doesnt matter what you say you [***].i told him im tired of this [***] and it better stop.i hung up.havent received another call just yet.butim sure the same man will call again.im tired of this company harrassing me.this is over a debt from over 10 yrs ago from ford motor credit which we paid off this account while on bankruptcy and now they are tryignto come after us for intrest.but this collection company is going about this completely wrong and i want them to be investigated.this is not the proper way to go about collecting a debt.and why harrass me when it wasnt my debt but my husbands.take care of this please.im under enough stress as it is with a husband in a war zone and do not need this crap happening.

I get a recorded voice message saying that they need to speak urgently to "you" and asking to urgently call this number and press zero for the extension. If this was so urgent some person would speak to me when I answer the phone and at least identify them! This is a great nuisance! Calling from 18006709944.

Get electronic message calls from this number (800 670 9944) asking to call back and press extension zero. These calls are more and more frequent. How can we stop this???

Something needs to be done about these phone calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know why they keep calling my home, I pay all of my bills on time.

Lorraine kept harrassing me and my mom all the time at this phone number on their cellphones because they are both jealous of us. They blocked their phone numbers before dialing this phone number 800-670-9944 to call us. They are LDS Mormon psychos and they pray to Lucifer. They do
terrible things to us in the middle of the night and our dumb neighbors believe them. God will punish them for what they have done to us for 4 years. They watch us from morning to night. They are sick! They are scary people.

When I picked up the phone, there was an answering machine that said it was important to call back or press 0 to immediately go there.
This "Sandy" keeps calling my house phone. The caller ID showed this number and said "OCS"
But of course, I find this hard to believe.

Omni Credit Services of Florida- Bill Collectors

Got a call from Omni Credit Services.  A guy by the name of Andrew Cacciatore left a message.  I called him back and he was very polite.  He said that he obviously had the wrong cell phone number because the name he had didn't match mine.  He then said he'd take my number off the list.  We'll see.

This number 1-800-670-9944 belongs to Omni Credit Services.  They have also harassed me.
They are NOW being hit with a class action suit because of their illegal practices of robo calls among
other things.  

My attorney's firm is handling this case and if anyone has been bothered by Omni Credit in any way at all,  please feel free to call their office.   It won't cost you a penny, they fight to get money for you and take a percentage at the end.  The more people that join the suit the more money each person ends up with.  Just call and ask questions, you don't have to commit unless you want. They're great people!

Dear Lori,  My name is Cheryl  (Snowkittykat).  I too have been harassed by this company Omni Credit.  You DON'T have to talk to these people.  By harassing you THEY are breaking the law.  Because of their illegal ways they have now been slapped with a CLASS ACTION SUIT.  You probably know what that is but just in case you don't, it's where a law firm handles a suit on behalf of a group of people who all have the same problem with the same person or business.

Omni Credit has been abusing and breaking the law and making hundreds of people suffer because of what they do. I am involved in this suit.  My lawyer, Craig Ehrlich of the firm Weisberg & Meyers, is helping a large number of people by representing them.  It doesn't cost us a penny and he doesn't get his percentage until the judge awards the case.  Its a win win situation and Mr Ehrlich would not take the case unless he was positive we'd win.  It's time we stood up and made these collection companies and crooked lawyers pay for breaking the law.  This time WE'll get paid.  

I'm sick and tired of these people treating us like dirt.  There are many laws called "Fair Debt Rights" that are there to protect us from these businesses that will try every trick in the book to get their money.  The majority of people don't even know that there are laws to protect them.

I apologize for going on like this.  I just wanted to let you know you don't have to listen to them or explain a thing.  They are the ones in trouble. If you want to make them leave you alone and even be awarded some money for violating YOUR RIGHTS,  call Mr. Erlich at 1-888-595-9111 ext. 256 and talk to Andrea Mertz, his assistant.  She's the nicest girl, and she'll explain what you need to do, and then when Omni calls, you can tell them to call your attorney and to never bother you again!

If you'd rather to speak to Mr. Erlich personally his ext. is 250.  The more people that get involved the more serious the case is and the larger the award.  Lori, I'm not trying to sell you anything or push you into anything.  You just do what's right for you.

I get calls all day long from this # 1-800-670-9944.  This has been going on for months.  I answered it once in the beginning and the person was calling about a debt for my EX- daughter-in law.She lived here briefly 25 years ago and hasn't been a family member for 8 years.  I told them all of that and the woman got nasty and my daughter told her never to call here again!   Now the phone rings and when I dont answer they leave a grunt like noise on my answering machine.  It drives me crazy, at 75, I have to go look at the phone and then erase their non-message.  If its Macy's as this article describes, I will go to my local store and talk to the Manager......I have a perfect credit score. How can I stop these idiots.....
