I think this charge was related to my purchases from Allposters.com.  Fortunately I was able to cancel my "membership" and get a refund by calling the 800 number and navigating through an automated menu.

I discovered this charge today while checking my bank statement. After some snooping around I found the charge coincided with a purchase from Buy.com Shopper's Discount verified my suspicions.
Contact Shopper's Discount directly to reverse the charges and cancel your membership. If the credit does not appear on your statement within 5 days I would then suggest filing a complaint with your credit card company or bank. This may or may not be a fraudulent service, but it certainly seems to be a dishonest way to gain new clients. It might be helpful to file a complaint against the company that signed you up for the service.

I too received a charge on my MC from them.  I got signed up from a purchase at allposters.com using a reward card from Discover Card.

I emailed allposters.com and told them they have taken my last order.

I could never get through to anyone at 1 800-889-8776.

Got charged too $12.00 after buying from buy.com -- I'm trying to dispute it at this time. I'll post again as soon as I get my refund back. One thing that I can share too is that it reflected on the bill this info: SHOPPER DISCOUNTS 8008898776 CT

When I checked my bank account yesterday I saw a $12 charge from a ShopperDiscount 8008898776 CT. Right away I knew I didnt make the charge, and called my bank.  The bank told me that I have to call the company to get the charges reversed.

But When I called the company I never got a real person, just alot of automated messages, and no option to talk to someone.  To inquire about your "account" you have to either enter your full credit card number or your member number.

I hung up right there and on Monday I am going to the bank to put a stop check on this company then tried to talk to a real person.

I bought something from AMAZON and the same thing happened to me.  My online bank called this a "purchase authorization" but I couldn't get any other information.  I assumed it was legit until I googled the number!  Low and behold I got scammed!  All I can say is that I'm filing a complaint with AMAZON and cancelling my card.

    SCUMBAGS!

i also saw this $12.00 charge on my account, i called the number, they said its from something i ordered from online and then they asked if you wanted to use this coupon, blahblahblah, ended up getting sucked into their scam i guess and got billed for it. but the lady was nice and cancelled the memembership when i called and reversed the charges.

I saw the charge today on my bank statement.  I googled the number and found this site.  I called the company and a woman told me that when I ordered perfum from frangrance.net last November I took a $10.00 coupon which automatically signed me up for this "service".  She was pleasant enough and cancelled my "subscription" and said the company would refund the money I was charged.  We'll see about that.  I definitely had no idea that I had signed up for any "service" when I took that $10.00 coupon.

I noticed the unauthorized charges on my credit today.  They started charging me in May 2008.  I have no idea how they got my credit card no.  I have no record on that date of authorizing charges on my card.

This too, happened to me... via a purchase to online Buy.com.
Actuall there are two companies (Shoppers Discount and RESERVATION REWARDS )Both are linked together As first I cancelled with RESERVATION REWARDS and then I cancelled with Shoppers Discount. Surprisingly On Customer Service Rep (From Shoppers Discount) told me you have already cancelled. (FYI I called both within 5 Minutes) so I cleared that there are some other company named RESERVATION REWARDS not you. She did not reply. But She managed to cancelled my 'MEMBERSHIP'.

I really hope that Buy.com knows nothing about this, because it makes them look really bad. I won't be ordering from there again an!

The woman was clearly familiar with these calls and knew how to get the credit issued. Unfortunately, it didn't make her any nicer to deal with.

Shopper Discounts and RESERVATION REWARDS should be ashamed of themselves! or they must find some other way to earn money (Except this as this will hurt online shoping revenue and alternatively genuine company's sales)

The company that signed us up was allposters.com, we will never be using them again!

Make sure that you are very firm about wanting your refund and make sure to tell them that you think they are crooks. They will tell you that policy is that they will refund the last month's fee, but stay on them about getting all the fees back, especially if you have never been to their "discounts website." They'll give you all your money back in the end.

CROOKS LIKE THIS MAKE ME SICK!

apparently if you buy movies from deepdiscount.com they are so nice and sell your information. i found 2 $12.00 charges on my cc and called this #. the first prompt you are given is in reguards to canceling your membershtip..mmmm. they will ask for the cc that you "signed up" with..THIS IS NOT NESSESSARY. hit # and 0 and they will connect you to someone. i spoke with tina and she claims i will receive a refund of $24.00 in 3-5 business days.

hope this helps and remember DONT VERIFY your cc info

These guys are TOTAL fraud! I have been charged 7 times to my credit card and did not even realize! I am only getting back 2 of those 7! It was from allposters.com

They are well aware of people complaining and really had nothing to say about their fraud activity.

    WATCH OUT!
