    It's a call from Time Warner Cable to inform you of a very important change to the status of your account. At least that's what the message said. I double checked to make sure I got the number right, and yes, it's (800) 892-2253. I see theres some confusion about it NOT being TWC, but I can attest that it IS TWC.

    I do my even have time Warner cable and I get this call at least 3 times a day. Finally I listened to the automated message and it said it was looking for a mike pelfrey. I do not know anyone by this name but I didn't give me an option to talk to a representative. It is very annoying.

    1/5/13: I've gotten a total of 32 phone calls from them!!!! I quit their services November 29, 2012 and went to Verizon and 1/2 the price!!!! They will not stop calling....I am going to report them...This is totally ridiculous. Time Warner has the worst service and most expensive rates!!! If you are with them, I advise you to go to another phone, internet and TV cable company!! The big boys at Time Warner like a big fat wallet, full of our money, and we get nothing in return....All of you with TW need to run with your life and get them gone!!! They are no good!!! I'm ready to join the band wagon on a nation wide law suit against them!!!!! They are crooks!!!! Run people run!!

    I know what you mean.  I pay my bill every month no later than the 3rd of the month.  They are mad at me because I pay them for the prior month only.  Which keeps my bill current.  I have rec'd calls from them about my practices.  I told them I don't pay for anything until I rec. it.  Therefore I will not pay a month in advance, only for the month that I have viewed cable.  There nothing they can do about this, because as long as you pay for your usage for the month prior you have paid for your service for that month.
    (i.e.) I rec'd my bill by the 23rd of each month, instead of them showing that you owe for 1 month, they bill you for that month plus the following month.  I have talked to them on the phone about this, It really makes them angry, but nothing they can do about it as long as I pay my bill.

    Finally got a hold of an Operator and had them remove my number from their system.

    I used their automated system to navigate.  Select the option when they ask if you are the person they are calling, then select pay in full.  This will send you over to a human and you can complain to them.

    This is Time Warner Cable they call me at least once a day to sell something or some sort of automated message about something.  It's really annoying and I've asked them to remove me from the list.  The customer service sucks.  When I spoke to the lady I could barely understand her because it sounded as though she was mumbling or extremely sleepy.  Besides once they hear that you are not interested in buying what they're selling they check out of the conversation.  Thinking about cancelling my service.

    Yup, really irritating repeat call feature so they hit you 2 or 3 times in a row. Folks this is an option that they can easily correct to call once a day or a week etc, not a good way to treat your customers...

    Just answered the number in question. It was an automated call.  It thanked me for paying my bill and to notify me they were updating my status.  (?)  I'm not sure what the updating was about.  They told me I could call the toll free number for more information.  They then hung up.
