the people call and put in a phone number that is similar to your area code so you will answer it.  These people are scams dont give them any informaion

Scam #. They said they were calling regarding my credit card but did not say my name or what credit card company. I just went along with it and never said yes to any questions. I asked which card and he named a card I do not have. I just kept playing along and when he realized I was not falling for it and making stuff up he became angry and cussed. Ha ha!!!!

Keep receiving calls from 800-903-3637 regarding credit card rate lowering.  When you select to have your number removed a guy gets on the phone and starts calling you baby and telling me that I really dont want to remove my number.  I tell him to remove my number and he starts making vulgar comments.  I tell him I am recording the call, he calls me a B*#@% and hangs up.  You call the number back and supposedly a real Capital One rep gets on the phone.  I told them they needed to change the number and that I would be turning over my recordings to the police.  BEWARE folks.....they ask for account numbers, social security numbers and credit card numbers.......don't give it to them...... call your bank yourself to be safe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They keep calling me from this number 800 9033637 and say thee from capital one which they are not, try to scam me to give them info

This company has been calling me for weeks. What they do now is using someone's cell phone number that is similar to your own as their caller ID. The only way to find out who truly called you is by staying on the line and talk to someone, asking them politely if you could call them back because you are not comfortable to give out personal information unless you yourself initiated the call. The funny thing is that the automated robo call said that my credit card account was in critical condition and they could help me lower my interest rate. I don't have any credit cards that I owe money on, at all. So after pressing one and signaling that I was interested, the guy told me that he can see that I'm making my payments on time (what payments again???). I asked which card he was referring to, and he said that I should know which one. I asked him about the company name, and he just stated that he was with Credit Card Services for Chase and Capital One. Then I asked if I could call him back due to the sensitivity of the information. The number he provided for call backs is 800-903-3637, but I didn't attempt calling back. I did, however, call back that poor soul who's caller ID they used to call me "from". Turns out it is a small business owner, a local electrician. I let him know that his number might be blocked or reported if they use his caller ID on multiple people. How in the world they are hiding their number behind a private cell phone number is beyond me though. No clue how that works, but I'm going to report that 800 number.

Robo call telling me to press one if I wanted my Capitol One rates lowered.  I didn't do anything except stay online until it repeated the message again and finally I got a busy signal.  Caller id said it was Capitol One, but who knows?

I answered this call and they indicate it is to lower the interest rate on my credit card.  I asked which card are they referring to and he said, in a very rude manner, which card do you think it's for.  I told him that he called me and I will not give any information verifying my card so he hung up.  BEWARE, THIS HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT!

I received a call and decided to answer since it was a 800 number.  My mistake.  They were saying something about an important message about my credit card.  The problem is, I don't have any credit cards and I am on the "Do NOT CALL" list.
