I am also being harrassed daily by unwanted calls from this company. I am also on the "Do not call" list. I just submitted a complaint on the website provided by someone above:

I've started getting calls from this number.  Most of them were hang ups. but I got lucky today when they (idiots)started talking on top of my answering message but they said "this is a courtesy call from PIC"...  Courtesy for what?  I dont know that company, and like others, some digging finds AOPA as a client of there, and it is renewal time....

AOPA!  Pay attention -- these calls piss people off!  Not only that, I never paid my dues for them to be wasted with this method of getting people to renew...

Came in on my cell #at 2PM today 10/30/08.  No caller ID, just the number.  Left no message.

I'm getting calls on my CELL phone from this number....no message left (8PM). I'm also an AOPA member...any ther AOPA members getting this????

Continue to call any time of the day or night without leaving message or answering when I have picked it up.

I've been getting calls for as long as I can remember. I've tried answering to give them a piece of my mind but no one ever is on the other end. Today I called the number back and left a second request to be removed. I'll try the Atty General if that doesn't work. Seems to me that this could be considered harrassment.

My story is no different from any of the above comments. They call, I let the answering machine pick up. No message. So one time I decided to answer to see who it is and what they want and maybe they will stop calling. The hung up without saying a word. So why do they keep calling? Maybe to see how many of us write comments about their annoying calls. I think it's the phone company hiring people to annoy us to the point that when we call to complain, the offer us this gadget or that gadget for another fee. Well, I'm not buying and I am mad as hell and I am not answering the phone anymore! I think I'll call my Troubleshooting TV guy. This needs to stop. It is a UTAH number.

801 484 1107 calls daily to my place of employment.  I do not answer and they never leave a message either.  When will they stop!!!!

It is annoying to get all these calls at all times of day or evening. I will make it short: I agree with all the comments posted above. How can we stop this nonsense? I am on the non-call list already.

Someone called "Pub[lic] Interest Co." keeps calling and calling.  Most of the time I don't answer it, but the few times I do, there is never anyone on the other end of the phone, and it hangs up a few seconds after I answer.  No way to tell anyone to stop calling me.  I did get one auto-message once, something like "our representative just missed you" or something like that.  Very frustrating!

I have been getting calls everyday - somedays more than once.  I called back and got a recording - I left message not to call again.

I answered the call after receiving several hanging up on the answering machine. They called about a protection service for my DISCOVER card. I explained that I'm not interested and asked to be removed from the list. Which she said she would do.
I think this is the best way to deal with these calls. The personal staffing the phones appears to be instructed not to respond to answering machines.

I keep getting calls from this number and when the call is answered, the call disconnects. If my ans. machine answers, no message is left. I called the number back and got a recording for Public Interest Communications calling on behalf of one of my favorite charities. Well that's a bunch of crap because I am my only charity. Then they want you to give them your phone number to be removed from their call list. Yea right...like that's gonna happen.
