Number keeps calling me!

This is affiliated with AOPA and I'm not impressed.

This was a fundraising call for public TV/radio station WETA in the D.C. area. I'm sure this organization is contracted to raise money for various charities or non-profits around the country, so the reason for the call you receive may be different. If you have a relation with the entity that's trying to raise money, can they not call you?

why havent these [***] been sued yet?! my idiot drunk of a so called parent woke me up at 8 am saying "oh it. could be a job" and she knows who they are. and i looked at that caller id and i was so fucjing enraged and i still am. those stalker [***] need to be shut down i know i really hate having to be woken at 8 am after i couldnt sleep till 3 just for some spam. sue them and give me back my [***] privacy and freedom to sleep

I'm amazed looking over these posts how far back these jackal's calls have been going on. Not a day goes by that I don't see PUB INTEREST CO on my caller ID. Given the length of time they've been p***ing people off, I would have thought they'd have been drummed out of the country by now.

12 calls in 8 days from "Salt Lake, UT" caller ID (7/12, 7/12, 7/13, 7/16, 7/16, 7/17, 7/17, 7/17, 7/18, 7/18, 7/19, 7/19). IF these really are legit donation calls, why do they hang up if you answer --  and why do they let the rest of the calls go to answering machine, listen to the full message and then immediately hang up. Do they get more money for each call if they can say the call resulted in some kind of response? And why be so sleezy as to list a non-descript caller ID rather than the name of their company when they know so many people won't answer the phone anyway if the caller won't be up-front with a name? Incidentally, my answering machine message says that if the call is for donations, politics or surveys to please contact us by mail; otherwise, the caller is prompted to leave their name and number so we can return the call. Now I've got to lengthen the "if ..." message to add "please hang up" also. Must be the caller, or robo-caller, doesn't know what "donation" means. As senior citizens, we cannot run in from outside when the phone rings, get out of the chair quickly, stop the vacuum cleaner, etc., etc. just to answer calls we don't want from extremely rude companies. If I ever find out that any of the charities we donate to hire this firm, I'll never donate again!  EVER! Let this be a wake-up message to charities to be careful who they hire for marketing, and to set up a dummy number that they know will sound like a potential citizen, so they can check out how the company does business. The government, as well as phone companies, need to track down this scam. And Congress, the public keeps repeating the message: do something about intrusive calls. The Do Not Call list is not working. And why are 800 numbers, politicians and charities exampt?

This number keeps calling for stupid surveys! One was on voting the other time I actually answered it was for grocery shopping! So rediculous! I have even asked to be removed from there list directly even though I am on no call list! They still call!

Get a call......no one talks, and you get PUB Interest Co on the ID. Why doesn't anyone prosecute these phone terrorists?

This company or whoever it is is most annoying with their calls.  Constant!  
Pub Interest Co.  I want them to stop calling.  NOT INTERESTED.

I too am on the do not call list and yet this outfit keeps calling and NEVER leaves a mesage.  I have begun to answre as "CITY MORGUE" and when they asked for me, I answered---"well if she's here she's dead and can't accept your call".  The lady chuckled and apologized for the wrong number.  If nothing else, it put her off.

I have made this comment before in this forum, but it always bears repeating.  Many telemarketeers claim to be soliciting donations for reputable charities.  Do not give money to them. They are scams.

I received this call on my landline phone. No message left.

We have been receiving calls daily for at least a week from "Pub Interest Co".  I filled this form out that another person had posted on whocallsme.  I hope this resolves it.
