DSS research is the company that does research and surveys for Medicare. Probably calling to see if you mailed back the recent survey they sent out to you.

Received multiple calls from this number. Picked up live and was told they were a market research firm conducting a satisfaction survey on my Aetna health coverage. Told them "I'm not" and that I haven't had said coverage with Aetna in over six months. Asked to be taken off their list as well.

Why don't those who are annoyed by this caller reject it on their cell phone?  It's pretty simple to do.  

#1.  Go to MENU
#2.  Go to SETTINGS
#3.  Go to CALLS
#4.  Go to GENERAL  (not voice mail)
#5.  Go to AUTO REJECT
#6.  Click on ACTIVATION  

From there you should be able to figure the rest out.  You're going to add the annoying number to  
                                          a list of numbers that you don't ever want to receive.

Keep calling me too. I never answer calls I do not recognize and I have no student loans and excellent credit. So I don't think it is really a collections thing. Scam likely.

I'm not smart with phones (my BB), but should look to see if a rule could be put in place (like email) to block calls like this...

Any company who repeatedly calls at all hours snd never leaves a message with a call back number can not be considered legitimate. They're spammers and should be prosecuted.

Legitimate companies call during reasonable hours, and leave a message identifying themselves, the purpose of the intrusion and how to return the call. DSS is not a legitimate company.

This number called my cell. No message left. Immediately after that, my home # started ringing. If simeone has legit business with you, even if it is somone you would rather not speak to, they WILL leave a message. Add this number to yout blocjed callers list.

Did the shoe elves not have anything to repair and start thinking about their health insurance options?  I mean come on.  You know it's your fault they call.  Just like it is my fault they call me.  It doesn't matter that I am 40 and hardly even use my cellphone myself.  You and I must quit lending our phones out to those pesky elves.

I receive several calls per day from this pest. I don't answer it and they don't leave a message.

Tonight, I answered. They were calling for my wife on behalf of our health insurance, they wanted her to take a survey.

I keep getting calls from this number qnd no one answers.  I would like them to stop calling!!!

I suspect a security breach.  The call is from someone attempting to "wake" computer systems, to gain REMOTE ACCESS to unsecured cell phones, tablets, and computers.  It may be originating from a bank employee, someone with financial system access / clearance, using their work clearance for unauthorized personal reasons, possibly for hacking, and or cyber bullying /stalking.  To be on the safe side, secure all your computers and hand held devices.  You need to make sure your devices are locked and not set to open, or generic factory set pass-codes.  You need to set your own unique pass-codes and lock codes, or anyone can access your account from a remote location, and see everything (mail, contacts, photos, location, banking, credit info) that you have stored on all of your hand held devices.  You may need to change all your pass-codes, and may also need to reset, encrypt, and secure all of your handheld devices (cell phones, tablets) and shore up your online security.  Be sure to set a low idle threshold for your computers and tablets, and set a pass-code to get back in.  Be sure you set your tablets to slide lock, to prevent unauthorized access when you let it go on idle.  Contact your service provider, to alert them that you may have a security breach.  Keep your command prompt open type in netstat -o 5 then enter. This will keep it running while you are online, and will log all IP addresses communicating with your system.  Safety first!

If u have verizon u can block these calls free.I always Google the number if I dont recognise the caller.

Calls every evening about 7:30 pm rings 3 times and never leaves a message

I'm not a student and did get the call I did not answer, no message left.
Anything fron Texas or Florida is a scam!

I have been receiving calls from this number for weeks.  They don't leave any voicemail.  They are calling my cell number and I am on the Do Not Call list.  I'd file a complaint, but as the reminder from the National Do Not Call Registry shows, telephone surveyors are exempt.  I just used my iPhone's feature from the Call Info to "Block this Caller".  Done!

If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered — that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry.

This number will not stop calling my cell phone

They must do something else because my student loans have been paid off for 15 years and I was never late once on a payment.
