Just got this call, I haven't done any shopping for insurance, asked for quotes, etc.

so did anyone actually answer this number?

All sounds the same to me.  Got the call, left no VM.  Did a search on the phone number, it's in North Hollywood California. Latitude: 34.17 Longitude:    -118.37

I was looking for health insurance info. I got a call from the number too (on my cell) when I call it back they said they were calling to validate the number left. Sorry for the inconvenience.

My experience just duplicated Tom S's.  No messages left after either call.

I made no insurance inquiry what-so-ever. I'm beginning to think this is fraud.

Received a call from 818-299-9146 did not pick up and same thing it was right after applying for car insurance quotes online.

I was looking for vision insurance and was dumb and gave my name, address, phone numbe; god am i an idiot!!

I hit 'send' on netquote.com, for an auto insurance quote.
literally ONE SECOND after hitting send my phone rang from this number.

I got a call and as soon as I answered it stated that it was to validate an insurance quote contact. I didn't apply for anything. Reporting this to consumer credit bureau to stop potential identity theft

I too got a call saying "this is to validate the phone number for an internet insurance request". I had not applied for any insurance or requested any quotes.

Well, I did the something checking for auto insurance through The General the little short man. Well, I did get a email from them.

Same as most. Looking for insurance quote. Submitted information and phone rang. Didn't answer. No idea who it was. Caller ID said ITSOL.

I got called right after submitting app to BC/BS health insurance. They didn't leave a message, and I didn't pick up.

The same thing happened to me as most of these posters.  I was shopping for home owners insurance and within seconds of hitting the enter button after completing the questionaire I got a call from this number.  I didn't pick it up since I didn't recognize the number.
