I was online, looking for a Professional Liability policy for my business, and got a call from this number within seconds of submitting my data....

I just went into another database, and discovered that this is an Insurance Risk analysis company in Burbank, California, and they are verifying that the phone number you entered on your Insurance Form is a working number......

I got called 5 times in one day - afer a bit of research I found that these calls originate form NetQuote out of Colorado. Since I was unable to find their phone number I would suggest the next best thing . . . . Call the Law Firm that represents them giev them your Name and Number which in turn they will provide to NetQuote ~ And if I were you I would call on the Firms 800 Number  . . . why should you pay for the call ~ please see the info below:

Filled out a form for a renter's insurance quote and immediately got a call from this number.  Not cool.

My experience was the same as those who inquired about a quote for auto insurance. No message was left, so I don't know who called.It is very disturbing and unsettling that they would do something like that.

this is from Insure-me.  Call 1 800 467-8736 and tell them the phone number that was called and they can have your name removed from the system and insurance agents won't call anymore.

Same here instantly got a call after checking for insurance quote. WHY? Didn't answer also, didn't reconize the #. No message left. Did I just get scammed and is this site ligitamit? I think not. How can this happen and they can keep this site on the internet. Can't the internet shut them down and if so why hasn't this been done yet?

When you fill out an online insurance quote request you are requesting for insurance agent to work you an insurance quote and call you with the details.
All this call is to confirm you gave a working phone number to protect the agents who are helping you. They do not want to pay for bogus leads.
DO NOT fill out quote forms if you do not want an insurance quote!

If I fill out an online quote request it is because I want an online quote.     There is nothing in that inviting any calls.   If I wanted calls I would have called in the first place.

I too got a call, but I wasn't looking for any information from anyone on the net, like others have posted. I was busy and didn't answer. But here's what I generally do with unwanted callers: Answer the phone and immediately press and hold the * (star) button. If it's a computer generated call, their computer will kick your # out of their system as invalid.  If it's an actual person, they'll get a sharp tone in their ear that should deter them from calling back. I too am on the national "do not call" list and don't understand how these people can keep calling!!

I seem to get the (818) thing any time that I use my major bank visa card online to pay for something. Just got one immediately after verified by visa.

Called just now.  Prerecorded message about winning a vacation voucher to Cancun via some local business draw.  They couldn't tell me the business, of course.  I keep them on the line to yank their chains.  Then report them to the national DNC list.

Received call immediately after submitting life insurance policy quote request.

The caller ID listed the number as "ITSOL".  I received a prerecorded message stating; "We are sorry for the inconvenience." and the phone disconnected.  Just like another person, I went online to receive quotes on insurance, but mine was for life insurance not auto insurance.  I am also thinking it's the company checking to see if the phone number is valid.

How stupid are you people??????   You take the initiative to request information and provide your phone number. And then somehow you ate baffled when companies call you to offer you quotes.   Did you expect to have the quotes telepathecally transmitted into your mind?????

Why not just answer the phone and see what offers are available to you instead of just screening the calls and never answering the phone????
