go to www.ftc.gov. They are aware of this particular scam and several companies have been investigated. Enough so, that they are finally cracking down on debt collector practices and with cooperation from state governments, they are finally closing in and shutting down A LOT of "debt collection" businesses across the country. Spread the word....

I have received 2 calls now from this company, yesterday and today. Both times they left an automated message for a relative of mine and gave a claim number. I just called them back to let them know they have the wrong number. The name of their company is NRA National Recovery Agency, debt collection firm. The woman said she would remove my number.

They have called my mother in laws and my sister in laws cell phones regarding my husband. They told me today that he has a loan from JP Morgan chase in the amount of $350 from 2012 from Texas. Which can't be possible since he wasnt in Texas then.they said they are persuing legal action for theft by deception. What a scam.

I finally called the number back (after 5 days of nonstop phone calls from them leaving automated messages). I could barely understand the guy I talked with (middle eastern accent of course). I gave the guy my "claim number" and said the message wasn't intended for me, and that it states to "disregard this message if it is not intended for you" which is impossible if they call me every f***ing day,  and to remove my number from their list immediately and if I get another phone call from them I would report it as harassment. The guy was extremely apologetic, even with how rude I was.... so hopefully this works.

If you haven't read the rest of the comments, It's obviously a scam trying to get peoples money, so NO ONE give them your personal information!

I keep missing calls from this number.  When I can back they say "thank you for calling NRA, please enter your party's extension".  At this point I hang up.  Isn't NRA the National Rifle Association?  Since I don't belong I have no idea what they want.  They never leave a message.

I hope the next time they call me they have a extra set of ears gonna need air horn gonna be a blowing

I just received the same call. Maybe they should work and earn their money like the rest if us.

I keep getting calls everyday and all hours of the day saying contact them by a claim number. How can i block this number from calling.

Got a call from 844-210-5817 last week call them telling them it a place of business and to take this number off there list. Today come back different claim number tell me to call called them so I called the told them the same thing place of business do not call this number

Call my cell blocked there number, called my home number,  told them they have a wrong number.
Next time I will read them what other people say about them on line.

This EXACT thing happened to me today. They said I had a payday loan from 2008 and 2010 deposited into my Wellsfargo account. I looked up my Wellsfargo statements from back then and there is nothing. Plus I have never done a payday loan. They won't send you anything in the mail nor will they give you details. They just threaten you. This happened about 5 months ago from a different number and if you called the number back it said the number was disconnected.

They give you claim #. Scam….

Just got a voice message from a slightly different number requesting call back with a claim number. Called back and spoke to someone from India who said I defaulted on a payday loan in 2012 and could settle for less than $600. Said the original lender was Mack Development Group. Scary part was they knew where I worked, my bank name, my parents address, and my address. The caller even threatned litigation through my county courts and said it was all but pending. Very convincing but as I kept her on the lined she got more frustrated. I ended up dropping a couple F bombs and then hung up and put a fraud alert on my credit reports. Never took one of these loans out but someone sold them my information

I also have been getting calls from this number.  I think they messed up and called me from a colfax,ia number 515-674-7208.  If they continue calling i'll contact the police.

These people continue to call me all day.  They are even calling my sons cell phone asking for me.  I told her today to forward me some type of proof and she said they did not need to; I was mailed documentation already.  I told her that I didn't receive anything and she asked why should she believe me?? wth!!!  I blocked one number and now they are calling from a different number.

Initially called and left a message that included a case number. I returned the call and the person on the other end asked for the case number. Then she wanted me to verify my SS#. I refused and said I do not know what this is in reference to so I am not giving out that information. Then the lady asks, "why would we do anything fraudulent if we already have all of your information?" She also said we have your work number and everything. I told her then she should have my address so mail me a notice. She said they do not mail anything to people. They call them to arbitrate prior to litigation. I said well I will have my attorney to call you so you can work it out with him. She tried to talk over me so I hung up.

I've been receiving this same call under various 844 numbers with an account number, so today I called to find out it was from the National Recovery Association and that I owed 400 dollars for a payday loan. I told the gal that I was 61 years old and had never had a payday loan and if they didn't stop calling I would be contacting the state of Oregon Attorney Generals office and it was a scam.

They are now calling me 2 times a day stating they are working on a claim # and proceed to give me the numbers gave me a number to call back to I did, hard to understand person told her I am not who they are looking for and this was a new # then she asked me how long I have had this number told her it was none of her business and even though I am on the DN Call list they continue to call told her my attorney would be contacting her   she hung up on me   just plain harassment

They are also calling the elderly and asking for someone then threatening the elderly with arrest and jail.  When they called our elderly clients I placed a call to the local police and sheriff department and also filed an FTC complaint on ftc.gov.   That is what is what you need to do.
