She informed me that I have won a 3rd prize RM93,500/=  (actual prize RM110,000/= need Less RM16,500/=income tax by our goverment), she want bank-in to my Maybank a/c, and asked for my I/C No, Maybank a/c No. and Fullname. and now onward must 24hrs swiff-on my H/P.

This is a money/identity theft scam known as the Nigerian 419, where they lie to you about winning a prize so you will send them your money/details in order to receive it. As soon as they get them, they block your calls, sell your details to the highest bidder, and clean out your bank account. The SMS is especially dangerous, as it can be rigged with a virus that copies your contact list and steals your bank information.

If you have returned the call you are a possible victim of identity theft, so contact your bank right away and also check your phone bill for unauthorized transactions or premium charges. Sorry to scare you, but I would rather tell you the risks you're facing than leave you in the dark.

So the story and amount goes almost the same as Alicia for me, I told her I want to open a new bank account for that particular transaction and I ask her to give me a few days. After a few days I told the girl that I don't want the money and she gave me a Malaysian number 019-9180204 for a person named Tan Boon Hwa, she told me this is their manager's phone number who is in charge of Malaysia. Asked me to contact him to cancel the prize that I've won. What crap is this? I don't have time for all this [***].

Yeah so... In case any of you have been scammed/cheated maybe u can go for that Malaysian number. Hope it helps.

I am a victim of this scam but I do not know where to complaint.
This happened almost 6 months back, winnings exactly like Alicia.
They even provide me with the link to the winnings announcement which makes everythg seems so real.
I actually dragged the whole thing for almost a month, but eventually fall on the scam.
The funniest part was, I told them I have no member ID when they requested from me but they insist that I should have one. Otherwise the company may not discharge the prize to me.
The debating goes on and off and finally, their so-called director or some higher mgmt officer (Lui) said they I will hv to register a temporary one (best solution) for me to claim the prize immediately (transfer into the account I provided them). After that, I can terminate the membership within 48hrs. And this membership fees to cost approx. RM7k-8k..Otherwise, they will arrange to cancel my eligibility of the winnings.
Hence, I agree for them to terminate the winnings and requested them to pay back the initial amount I transfered into a local bank account earlier. But, they told me this can only be done after 180 days and they will be Malaysian legal authority to call me!

Oh man! Really [***]...

No matter this is true or not, I will giv them a chance cox I do not know wat to do...
However, just for the info of the culprits, it is almost 180 days now. I might not be as weak as I am. When someone gets crazy, they will do anything to get you out there!

Yes, they might not be able to take ur $ from the bank..
But, they will later ask u to do the same thing like they ask from me..

- ask u to bank in a sum of RM5k+ into a Maybank acccount as security deposit for govt tax...

Actually, I dun know if anythg the police can do if lodge a report... I think it's impossible cox these scams are so professionally handled... haiz~

i try to go into Malaysia site but can't really find where we can write our complain. haih... i think this is why more and more Malaysian get this kind of scam because there is no channel for us to go to.

The gal that call me, speaking Mandarin so fluently, it's impossible for hong kong ppl speaking like this, the gal is from China one la, China a lot scams like this, be careful!

Don't really understand most part of what she says (Chinese not good) but have similar story.
Very doubtful and sounds like a scam. Same Penang girl story. A quick search the info (number and website) brought me here. Hope no other people got scam

i got the same story and my name was on winner list. seems they change the names around. the " pregnant penang girl" speaks chinese only....name on the list was Wong Pui Yee.

I got the same call recently. First call they told me that they are having a exhibition at Petronas Twin Tower and ask me to go and live telecast as well. Second call is the same story like the others that I won a Euro tour or I can exchange for cash. The pregnant girl that won the price and couldn't go also mentioned in the conversation. And you know what, they are calling me at this very moment as I'm typing this message.

And after I logged in the websote using the user name and pw she provided me, I saw this:

The only thing to warn any people who meet with this kind of crap is, the false kidnapper who claims  that you are in their hands and ask money from your family.
