Received this same thing in the mail....it seemed so good to be true but it's so hard to not get excited because of how tough things are right now.  Fortunately, something told me to check it out online before calling the number listed and I am glad that I did.  Unfortunately, right now is the time that people like this are going to be pusing these things even harder becuase people are so desperate....just beware of everything and check stuff out before making those calls or agreeing to something.

Yeah i had my doubts about this one. I received the letter yesterday and thought it was a response from a finnancial aid form I filled out a while back. I was about to call, when i thought why would they only give you 36 hours to reply and no web address?

I got one too and looked up the phone #.  That is how I got to this sight.
I am so very thankful to all of you.  I never made the call.  I actually thought it was one of those $2995.00 phone call scams.  There are a few other scams that tell you that you've won or inherited something and ask you to call an 800, 866, 877, etc phone # and then you see charges on your telephone bill for $2k - $5k.  FYI - the phone company will not remove the charges either because they will say that "you made the call".
Thanks again to this site and all who contribute.

I received this mailer a few days ago... It seemed a little too good to be true, but I figured I would check it out on here first seeing as how I'm a college student and according to the government my husband makes too much money to receive any help, even though with 3 kids and one income we are barely getting by, I figured I would research on here first to check this letter out.... Thank you guys!!  It appears the old saying "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!" still stands firm!

got the mailer...mom warned me about it. after reading the comments, glad i looked it up. don't even want to risk calling since by doing so, my info may automatically go out for other scam opp's. thanks for the advise, people. in an economy like ours right now, anything and anyone will try to get the "vulnerables" of society. don't be greedy. be smart.

I sit with an elderly gentlemen, and he called when I wasn't around. He got taken!!! They got his credit card number, then gave him another number to call. Go figure, the number wasn't in service. These people pray on single, elderly, and anyone else who will fall into this. BEWARE... Definitely a scam....

I received the same mailing from G.F. Institute stating that Ihas 36 hours to respond to a pending 25,000.00 grant that I was eligible for. I immediatly googled this company name because I felt that it was a scam. I have destroyed the letter; it contained this approval code3222

    DONT FALL FOR IT
I just got the same post card everyone on this page is talking about. I had a feeling it was a scam but i thought I'll give it a try. I called the number and the guy asked me what mailing address do i want them to send me that book to. I told the guy to send it to the same address they send me the post card to. He said he doesn't have it on the CPU. i knew it was a scam after that, plus they asked me for my credit card number and i said no thanks. Also the guy talking sounded nervous and like he was lying really bad. Its too good to be true. If u gave your email or phone number don't answer to any of their scams. !!!!IF U GAVE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER OR CREDIT CARD NUMBER CANCEL AND CHANGE IT RIGHT AWAY BEFORE THEY TAKE ALL THE MONEY U HAVE OR EVEN MORE!!!!!
