I got my letter in the mall a few days ago. I know it was a scam because it sounded to good to be true. I just wanted to make sure I was right and I was. thank you for the info. Why do people do this...its just so wrong.

Mail from G.F. Institute- Kansas City Kansas. Approved $25,ooo.oo Grant from U.S.Government. I received this in the mail. This should be against the law and this is fraud used from Presorted standard US Postage Paid from Carol Stream,Il Permit 1347.  How can we stop this illegal practice? Thanks for the heads up!They have gotten my name through Publishers Clearing House. Other agencys other than Publishers have continueously misspelled my name. Heads up people!Lets shut them down!

I receieved my letter in the mail today.  It is a scam.  You must write a grant in order to receive money so this is a scam!

I just got this telegram in my mail box yesterday. And called them, The person on the other end explain to me how I would need to submit a debit or credit card with visa or mastercard logo. To pay a fee of $35.00 for a small book with instructions on obtaining my 25,0000. I told him my account is inactive at the moment. I asked him could I send in a U.S.Postal Money Order,He said they don't accept money in the mail. And then sugested that I should fine a realitive or freind who could help me. I said Nah, He asked me If I would like for him to put my file on hold, And that I could call back anytime. I said OK

This is the second time I have rec'd this letter  from them. Again I have $25,000 due to me. Wow! now I'm up to $50,000.It would be great to find the individual who started this scam. Another example of the direction  this world is headed.

I got this mailer this weekend and checked it out in the web beforehand, too good to be true.  Throw it away. Thank you for the info as well.

Same as above saying to call within 36 hours of receiving notification of 25 K government grant. This can be used for any purpose I choose. Also that I am under no obligation to pay anything to G.F. Institute.

I got a phone call early one morning from someone who claimed that the gov't was trying to give me this grant money owed me.  He became somewhat aggressive and irritated when I told him that it was surely bogus. (normally I hang up, but was annoyed at the call awakening me in an early hour).  Two weeks later, I received this mailer described by others here.  "Approved" Important Release of Government Funds Pending. I wonder who's behind the scam?

Just got the notice today..$25,000.  Yeah right!..with the economy heading into a tailspin, why do our people in Govt keep allowing fraudulent companies like G.F. Institute continue trying to rip off the poor?

why dose this continu every time iget on the internet ther is nothing but scams was the internet created for peopole to ripoff other peopole

I did not recieve this mailer rather my 7 year old son did!!! He has been getting all sorts of junk mail like this! I thought I would start looking some of these companies up and that's how I ended up here! How did it start and how do I stop it? Is my son't identity on the line here?

These people are morons and such. Scams like this need to be posted I looked up the company name and found this site. Thanks for the information.

please always check into things that appear to be to good to be true because 9 out of 10 times they are.

I got this letter also. Isn't this postal law breaking??? Just a thought.

i got this letter informing me that i got 25 grand for free yay!!! NOT....i was like wait im not even 18 yet close but not yet...so i looked it up...scam i believe!!! therefore thanks everyone for the warning..:D

I also received a letter from G F Institute saying I was aproved for $25,000.Authenticated by JD. Thanks, To good to be true. I'ts usually is.

with all the money i have won from nigeria, who needs a mere 25,000 anyway...lol
