I got a letter today in the mail,I checked out a few web sites and came across this one just want to say you guys.

GOT THE MAIL CARD YESTERDAY, DIDN'T BOTHER OPENING THE LABEL UNTIL TODAY, GOT SAME NOTICE ABOUT CALLING AND REFERRING A CODE #. CALLED THE NUMBER FROM MY OFFICE LINE TO INQUIRE INFO, A GUY COMES OUT SPEAKING IN A ANSWER MACHINE DETAILING EVERYTHING LIKE IT IS MEMORIZED OR HE IS READING IT FROM A SCRIPT. COULD NOT DETERMINE ANYTHING ELSE, CZ YOU HAVE TO PRESS 1 TO SPEAK TO A SPECIALIST FOR PLACING THE ORDER. THANX FOR THE LINK,

just got through with a bankruptcy and received the same letter i typed in the company and wound up here thanks

SHRED THE G F Institute LETTER IMMEDIATELY! SCAM SCAM SCAM

I received a letter in the mail today and believved it was a scam; so, I went online to see if there were any complaints about G.F.Institute. It was not a suprise to confirm that it is a scam.

Yep, the same letter arrived here today, I didn't even waste my time calling 866-576-9176, for fear if a scam, they would attach my number to anything, it does pay to be cautious these days. The internet has been a very resourceful place to research these scams and not be directly involved with these preditors.
Unfortunately there are folks who will be sucked, tricked into doing what these folks instruct them to. My advice is " If it sounds to good to be true, chances are it is too good to be true - RUN"  Thanks for this confirmation of my thoughts. Our government is ignorant on somethings, but with timews such as they are, surely not that ignorant. Again thanks.

My mother in law got a mailer in the mail today and she called and listen to the recording and hung up. She showed it to me and I told her I would go online and check it out. I didnt want to tell her it was a scam right off because I know she is in a financial bind, so I googled the name and low and behold there is an whole page to click on dedicated to this G.F. Institute...pathetic...shame on them. Now I will go and tell her it is a scam...glad I checked. Happy Valentines Day everyone.

You know I would like to see scammers like these locked-up. Preying on single mothers and anybody else who is especially taking a downfall for these messed up economical times. I'm so glad I looked this up. I got the same letter today and something told me look it up. If it's not easy to look up and get info on the company chances are it's not a company to at all!!!!

I just got this same card in the mail. Was seriously considering making the call and decided to look on the Web. That's how I got here. $25K government grant Verified by JD. Form number 25K - GFI-0809/PEND. Asking me to respond by calling 1-866-576-9176.
Can't these scam artists be stopped?

I CALLED THE NUMBER LISTED ON THE LETTER THAT I RECEIVED. CALLED IT AND IT SAYS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PURCHASE A BOOK ON HOW TO ACCESS THE GRAND MONEY. NOW, THE LETTER SAYS THAT THE MONEY IS ALREADY THERE FOR ANYONE HOW RECEIVED THIS LETTER. SO AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED THIS IS A BOGUS LETTER AND A FRAUD.

I called the stupid company, just to hear what they had to say!!  I knew it was a scam I just wanted to hear how much they were going to charge people to get the 25,000.  Its a shame, and even more shameful people fall for this mess!! Sha in Texas

I got the letter for pre       approved grants. I decided to do research before       calling 1-866-576-9176..   I`m so grateful for this     web site.

I received a letter from G. F. Institute several days ago stating that I was approved for a $25,000 Government Grant and the deadline for response was 36 hours from receipt.  I decided to call our local Ombudsman's office to ask questions.  After being transferred several times, I knew that nobody had any information to help me; therefore, I hung up and decided to go on line.  I am so glad that I did.  Thank you for verifying my suspicion that this is a scam.

Got mine in the mail today.  Decided to check specifically to see if it were a scam(which I suspected)  After reading this, into the circular file it went!

I knew it had to be too good to be true.  but have also heard that people do get all kinds of grants fromt he govt that don't have to be repayed.  Thank goodness, I ckd this out on the internet...

I just received one of those letters from this company. thanks for the heads up.
