I've been getting the call for a few weeks now.  I did have a message left a while ago from Bank of America looking for someone other than me (don't you love it when your out going message clear states whose phone number you've reached but people insist on leaving messages for someone completely different?).  I don't know if that was from the same number or not.

I've just stored the incoming number in my phone as "SCAM" and set it's ringer to silent.  At least it won't bother me in any way other than showing up as a missed call a few times a day now.

Its a scam. We do not owe any money to anyone. One guy left a vague message stating that our options had changed blah blah blah. To give them a call and never identified himself or what agency he was with.
It screams SCAM!!! people. Since then they ahve left messages without a message.
    Its annoying!

A joke... press your 'ignore' button... I received 100 incoming calls from this number in the past 20 days.  Whoever thinks it is actually BOA is a [***] moron.
And if you think I'm going to leave any personal info on this website as wekk, then you are ALSO a fool.

This number just began calling me, I do owe BofA money on a monster line of credit I got from them to pay off other debt I had, long story, naturally murphys law and the economy caught up to me so after becoming unemployed because of health problems, gave me some time to research debt. If you haven't already, take a look at how the federal reserve was started on youtube and it'll frstrate the heck out of you. Our system is definitely to blame for debt issues. The best I've found so far for debt poblems is (http://www.thecreditcardsolution.com)I am unable to find anything negative on these guys as they do it according to the law. An alternative to bankruptcy that appears to also keep your credit clean. I haven;t officially done it yet, strongly considering...

If this is a Bank of America number, it is either a sales call or a scam.  I have been getting numbers on my cell phone from them at all hours for months now.  I even registered my number on the do not call registry, which I am starting to think is unhelpful.  I have never had an account with Bank of America and can think of no reason why they would call me.  They are banking on the possibility that several of their callers have an account with Bank of America and may owe money to get you to pay it to them or give you personal information.  This is my best guess based on reading the responses here.

This is definitely a legit call for collection.  I got a call from this number and called them from another phone.  The call was obviously forwarded (two tones and a new ring).  The woman who answered simply said "Card Services can I please have your account number" and when I asked her what bank she was calling from she stated that they covered several banks, including Wachovia, Bank of America and two others that I don't recall.  I told her that I don't have accounts with any of those banks.  She asked me for my phone number and which I gave to her.  She said they were trying to reach <my son's name>.  I told her that this is not his number.  I explained that he had borrowed my phone for a few months last year but now I had it back.  She asked how to get ahold of my son and I explained that he is in Iraq on active duty and there is no way to contact him directly.  She said she would removed my number from their calling list.

FIA Card Services is a subsidiary of Bank of America. Specifically, it's a "credit card securitization program"[1]. Securitization is the process of converting assets (here: customers' credit card debt) into marketable securities[2].

Apparently, FIA Card Services includes the now defunct MBNA America Bank[1].  When Bank of America bought MBNA America Bank, they merged it with their existing credit card subsidiary and renamed the combined institution FIA Card Services[3].

FIA Card Services is now the issuer of many of Bank of America's credit cards[4]. I expect they continue to handle billing for credit cards that were issued by MBNA America. Given the nature of my account they also appear to purchase credit card accounts from other institutions, including some credit unions.

It is indeed Bank of America. They've been calling me the past three days and have sent me e-mails. This time when they called, an automated message was left stating that there were problems with the account under the name of "said my husbands name". I don't think it's a scam.

    It's a scam.  I don't even have a Bank of America account.

Its not a scam.  I was past due on a credit card issued by Wachovia bank a few years ago.  I called them back and they were able to tell me my name and how much I owed on my card, and I did a check by phone and they did not even have to ask for my checking account number.  In other words, if this is a scam, then they clearly have access to FIA Card Services computers.

I have received the same call the last few days. Same situation as everyone else the phone rings you pick it up and sometimes there is no answer and other times it is an automation call telling you that there is a change in your  account and that you need to call a another number they give you which in turn would be the scum sitting on some island waiting on your call to get all of your information and take everything you have. I don't think so..... it's bad enough that our government is taking our money I sure in the hell am not going to give it away to some scum bag...... And I owe no money to B OF A... what else is funny about this is I received an email in the same type of manner telling me there was a change in my account status and that I need to verify with them my information including S/S/N account number and so on...... NOT I will never give that information out. They are getting a hold of me because a status change so they have all of my info....

This is FAKE!  I went to the bank, asked, they said this number is not affiliated with them.
The number that called me was  866 635 4316 , and they tell me to call 888-800-2513. They call me like 10x every day. When I call back someone pick up and says "card services, I need to give you information about your card, tell me your DOB, last 4 digits of social..." etc

Bank of America told me they would never make phone calls this, and that I should keep a close eye on my account and maybe get a new account number.

I am thinking of telling the police.

I have received 4 calls from this number in 2 days. ID show it to be Card Services. Today it left a message say it was from Bank of America and asked me to call 1-888-800-2513 in regards to a change in the status of our account. We have 2 credit cards with them and both are past due one payment.

This is unlikely to be a legitimate caller.  I received this call on a line that none of my credit card issuers have on file.  It's now added to my rapidly growing blacklist.
