This is  scam.  It is not from Bank of America.  They asked for my social or my card number.  Bank of America would never ask for  that over the phone.   BEWARE!!!!!!

Started getting calls from this number about a week ago, but they do call a few times a day and do not leave messages. I have a new number so I know its a scam number. I had the same thing happen to me with my old number. Finally my husband answered and told them to take the number off their list and I stopped getting calls.

They claim to be Bank of America.  It's a recorded message and says there is a "change to the account."  There is NO change to my account.  I have never called back or answered when they called

This is a collection agency for Bank of America. They call my number when my bank of America payment is late. Their calls get real annoying because they never leave a message and act surprised when people pick up.

I also received calls from this number.  I am NOT late on any payments for any accounts.  The first message left was "This is from Bank of America.  There has been a status change on your account.  Please call 866.635.4316."  The second message was the same- both recorded messages, and the first with a female voice, the second with a male voice.  I contacted Bank of America at the number I have on file- 800.432.1000.  There are no changes in my accounts.  There are no logs indicating calls on my accounts.  The attempt was for phishing- period.  I was referred to contact the FTC at ftc.gov to report the number.  Also, you can call the FTC at 877.438.4338.  I will be reporting it today.

Have to say that I'm awfully suspicious that the people saying this isn't a scam are part of the scam.  Surely the know how to Google too and how to post anonymous disinformation on a message board.

If it were a real company, eventually they'd have a human being call and leave a message.  It's just common sense.  Wouldn't you call in person if you were trying to get your money?

Started getting this call several days ago. Calls several times a day but I don't answer, then I get a voice message saying "...status of your account...",that's the only message left.

Stop asking who it is and why. Check your bank or CC balance and you will figure it out on your own :)

It is not a scam, its Bank of America. I've been dealing with a CC issue for a few days and this is the number that they call in on. I return the calls, and confirm last 4 of SSN to speak to my acct rep.

Receiving several calls a day from this number with no message.  The number they call is our old landline number that we moved to our cell phone.  I canceled my BOA credit card several months ago.  If they leave no message, why would I call this number back?

they called twice today. I called back and was told it was "Card Services". the woman would not tell me what the company did. She kept asking for my phone # so she could "look up my account". This is a scam.

It is a collection agency. Hey, as long as you are being hounded by debt collectors and you do not have the dough, you can do what a friend of mine has done to stay sane - make the harassment into a drinking game. Set the phone on a table and everytime it rings, do a shot of your favorite beverage.

You can also hold "colletor call" raffles. Get a group of people to bet a dollar on how many calls from the same number you will receive in a given 24 hr period. Closest number wins.

I believe this is "FIA Card Services". They make at least 10 calls a day. I have specifically told them to cease and desist and there "cover" is that they aren't calling. When you press "1" you are calling them so the law doesn't apply. It is wrong and all of you need to make a formal complaint so they can be put out of business

I was getting two or three calls a day for the last week or so. Picked up, not one on the other end. Then finally today, an automated voice greeting indentifying "Bank of America" but I don't know if it was really originated by them.

They have called me a billion times and for some reason will not leave a message. I spoke with a representative (from BoA) already and told her that I would be late on my payment because I was unsure of the next time that I would be paid. She said that she would document that in her notes and to call her if any amount could be paid. If this is so, why would they be calling me from a different number?

I've had calls from this and other phone numbers multiple times a day for the past few days. Every time I look them up, a majority of people say it's a scam and a handful of people believe it's Bank of America. I've never had an account with them. The general consensus is that BofA does not own this number or any of the others calling me.

People posting here saying they actually do owe BofA money doesn't surprise me, however I strongly believe that this number is a scam. I'm not sure what the statistics are but logic tells me that a decent percentage of Americans are 1. in debt and 2. have an account with Bank of America. If the scammers call enough people, they are eventually going to hit some that actually will give away their account info, SSN,etc. because they owe BofA money and believe it is them calling to collect. That's my theory, anyway.

I haven't been answering the calls and they've slowed from 6-7 per day down to just one per day (so far) today. I have checked my credit to make sure no one has stolen my identity and also called Bank of America to confirm they don't have an account attached to my telephone number. Now all I can do is wait for the scammers to give up on me - unless anyone has a better idea?

I have gotten 3 calls from them now.  They know my name and say that there is some change in my account.  I just don't know who these people are but this is ridiculous.  Should I call BoA to let them know?  I don't want anything to happen to my account, I have enough problems as it is.
