Have now gotten two calls in two days at 8:30 a.m.  First time I didn't answer & no message left.  Second time I heard an auto dialer click in when I picked-up the phone, so I said nothing.  A man with an East Indian accent came on the line & said "Hello" about 10 times before he hung-up.  I understand from others that this is a collection agency -- we have no outstanding debts.  I reported them to the do not call list.

They keep calling my cell phone. I have not answered any of them yet because of the posts that I have read.

Allied Interstate is used by noneother than AOL for their collections. There fax number is 1-866-566-5766 (Bougus) and their address is 3000 Corporate Center Drive in Columbus, OH 43231, I checked on this address, its fake. The people that I spoke with called themselves Paras, Kaushik, Plaban at the call center. 3000 Coroparate Exchange Columbus, OH 43231 FAX 1-866-566-5716.

just got a call from the 1471 number and won lol i told them that i would keep them on the line for as long as it would take me to make their company pay that telemarketer the equivalent to the three year old 59 dollar aol debt that i refused to pay....i asked him if he was hiring and he i said prob not cause i spoke ten times better english than him hahahah...i heard a pause(prob cause his manager listening in told him to wrap the call up) ahahahah

Got my first-ever call from these clowns this morning. As with most others, I answered but no one responded. I could hear people speaking in the background, but no one spoke to me. The caller ID did show that it was Allied Interstate calling. I am not aware of any outstanding debt and I never used AOL service. Not sure what they are after, but I am getting ready for a long battle - I just wish I knew what we were fighting over!! I think you would have a much better chance of getting through to someone if you call or email Sales at: 866-657-2057 and/ or sales@iqor.com  And if you get thru to anyone, DON'T RESPOND! Just ruffle some papers, clunk the phone gently on the table a couple of times, and hang up.

They called and called me.  After a while I answered and there was no one on the other end.  They finally stopped calling last week after I called them back.  Asked them why they are calling me, not leaving a message nor speaking up when I did answer and also said I think you have the wrong number.  The calls stopped that after that day.

I get calls from this number up to 4 times per day.  When I answer, they don't say anything and I hang up.  They call again and don't leave a message.  If I don't answer the first time they call, they will call back 2 more times within the next 5 minutes.  My husband answered it on Nov. 21st and it was Verizon.  Stating that I was behind payment.  Since I do have Verizon, and I was in fact late, I paid the bill.  They then called back on Nov. 23rd and didn't say anything when I answered.

Most of the calls I get with this type of behavior means that I am behind payment and because of that, my number is on an auto dialer.  Meaning, a machine has my number and initiates the call.  If I don't answer, it moves onto the next number in line.  (I'm pretty sure it is set to redial several times a day.)  This is the reason no one says anything when you answer.  It is also the reason why it may ring on their end when you answer.  When the autodialer recognizes the connection has been made (ie. you answered the call), the dialer will then ring to a company rep who will take over the call.  I believe that this particular number is the number to the autodialing system linked to several different companies.

Once your matter has been settled (ie. you made a payment) it can take up to 24hrs for you number to be removed.

For me, this was not a scam, but instead an attempt to collect a legitimate debt.

Has called several times every couple of hours since 11/25-2009.  I don't have AOL, never had AOL, don't have a checking account, have documentation for Verizon DSL since 11/08 until 9/09.  Now have Time Warner.  They are rude, swearing at me, screaming at me, calling me a liar, harassing me to give them a credit card, debit card, gift card #'s.   The phone number that DID show up was 866-720-1471.

These people call me, my sister and my ex-in-laws several times a day about an active open account I have with AOL. They will argue with you and have no facts to back what they are saying.

Just got a call on my sons phone, He is 13 and at school and left his phone home. So I didnt catch the call but called it back. The woman who anwsered said they didnt call. Sounds fishy to me.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone.  Guy with heavy Indian accent asked for someone else and I said I didn't know who that was.  I asked who he was and what company.  He kept saying something about Financial something, very difficult to understand him.  I told him to take me off the list as I was not the person he was asking for.  Said he would.  We'll see.

About a week ago was when I first got a call from that number. I get calls from random numbers all the time, so I didn't answer it for a while. But I get about five calls from them a day, and a few even woke me up between two and five in the morning.

So, since they've become an enourmous annoyance, I decided I'd give them a call back. When the phone stopped ringing, an automated voice said something like 'This is Allied Interstate, a debt collection agency'. The voice began to say something else, and then a man with a foreign accent picked up the phone. I did what I always do, and hung up.  

I searched the number and found all these comments about how the number is a fraud and fake, and even if they aren't frauds, they definitely aren't good, because after I looked them up, they're a 'F' rated company due to their unreliability as a company and how they sometime swear while on the phone.

twice that KW does not live -and has never lived- at my residence. I don't know a KW. I have had my
ph. no. for near 4 yrs. I am not KW!!! Get a clue, nutwipes!

do like me i told them i'm not paying jackshit. the end next time they call i will tell them i have their number.next i'm going to fine out where they at and go beat the [***] out of them. i'm tired of all the crap they give

I got a call from this number asking for my husband's ex-wife (they've been divorced for 12 years and never lived in my house).  The caller pressed me for information on her, which I lied and said I didn't know her.
