    used to work in collections
This company has done this for years and breaks every regulation of the FDCPA - the federal law that protects people from debt collectors. The FTC explains is pretty clearly here:
    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Ask for their company name, personal name and contact info. They are required by law to identify themselves. Say that you demand that they "cease and desist" the calls. Legally, that is enough, but it's good to follow up with a registered letter. They have to stop calling you even if you are the person they're calling for and even if you do have the past due debt.

    Total 100% Scam; 866-720-1471
Allied Interstate is an network of CON artists. Envision is another. Same old, same old robo call centers. Banks around the country are familiar with them all. If these predators ever get hold of any information about you - if you ever give them any information, a credit card or bank acct. number, they will drain it dry within 24 hours. A commercial banker friend says that even the smaller regional banks and credit unions are now seeing these fraudsters, cleaning out entire accounts of thousands of dollars in phony eChecks or wire transfers before you know they've hit. Yes, it is illegal and yes, it is a felony. But no one seems to ever prosecute or stop them. So, you'll be forced to then file with your bank or credit card corp. a legal doc for fraud against these con artist companies. Your bank/credit card company might or might not be able to get your money back for you. Better to *just not pick up the phone* or deal with them in any way. People, we're a decade from when everyone ought have figured this out by now, especially after every cockroach in the world amped up scamming weary Americans post-2008.

Got several calls several times  a day on house phone and cell phone. AFter seeing this number on my house and cell phones so very often,  I finally picked it up.  They are indeed Allied Interstate and they are calling about a bill for AOL.    I told them I would take care of the bill when they send me something in the mail.  Never got it.   they continue to call everyday at least three times a day.   Finally I told them I would pay them on the 21st of this month.  They wanted a post dated check. That I would not do.   I told them again, I will pay on the 21st.  they said okay.  YET, they continue to call everyday up to three times a day. This is harrassment.  They called on Sunday also.  I told them that I had already spoken to someone about paying on the 21st.  Yet, they are still calling. They have called already twice today on my cell phone.  I have not picked up today and I have no intentions of picking up today or no other day.
