I work nights, and I don't appreciate getting woken up at 11:30 in the morning (equivalent to 11:30 at night for people who work days) for dead air. Why do they hang up if they get a real person?
It could be AAA - my membership expired on the 31st. But I have a new car that comes with roadside assistance, so I don't need AAA anymore. How do I make them stop calling if there is never anyone there when I answer the phone?

This number has called my unlisted cell phone 3 times in the past 3 hours and when I finally called back to see who it was and what they wanted, it was just an asian voice recording. No english was spoken at all, so I am still in left in the dark as to who this is and why they are trying to contact me.

Weird.

Two calls placed to my cell by this number - no response each time when I picked up.  I called it back from my landline and got a busy signal.

I am getting dozens of random "wrong number" calls from (based on caller ID) hispanic persons.  This number also showed up during the latest round.  I wasn't home, but it sounds kinda weird that a bunch of us are getting calls from this number.  I'm in VA, is everyone else too?  The call was on the 15th of January.

Pisses me off!

Hi, just got a call from 866-786-3394 too. Maybe it's a telemarketing service for all of those companies. Unlike before, I would just avoid picking up unknown callers, but now, I am picking them up and just saying they have the wrong number, when they ask for me by name. I then will go online to find if the number is listed with a company I do business with, then I can THEM if I want. Telemarketers don't call "cold" calls if they don't have a name. When they have a name to ask for at your number, they catch people off guard. Try it, just say,  "Sorry, you have the wrong number." Listen to their voice losing their peek. *smirk* Cheers.

i've never received so many calls in my life!
they are driving me insane..
so now, i screen the numbers to see who's calling, then google it.. to see what everyone has to say so far. if it's a telemarker or a deadline, the next time the number calls, i pick it up and hang up right away. sorry, if you can't leave a messege the first 3-4 times you've called then it ain't important, and i'm not wasting my time or listening to the phone ring off the hook anymore!  some numbers actually haven't called back  :)

they left an auto-messege on our answer-machine.

This is a telemarketing company who bothers people on behalf of Leon' Furniture, PETA, AAA, Toronto Symphony Orchestra etc. I just received a call from this number ... Leon's Furniture Auto-message service ... They were just wondering if I had received their recent flyer! Are you frickin' kidding me!

Thank goodness for my free Shaw telephone feature "Selective Call Blocking" ... I just hit *60 then #01# and it blocks the last number that called until I chose otherwise (indefinitely)... awesome

I missed the call and they left a message, but the message is in french so i dont understand it.  i tried calling back, but a machine said that it didnt know who called me

They keep calling me since 12 o'clock. After reading the previous comments I also think it's Leon :  I bough my dinning table their last week. Very annoyiing ! Why don't they bother to open their big stupid mouth and talk to people and ask whatever they want. Stupid!!!!

The call I received from this number was PETA. I asked them to place me on their do-not-call list. I also reported them to the FCC for violating do-not-call rules (I have been on this list for several years). If you continue to receive unwanted calls, you can report them to https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx.

Very rude people calling to ask if I want to reduce my interest to 6%.  The caller was so outlandish in his rude remarks that it was very obvious that this is not a legit company.

It is Leons, call the number back and you can remove them from the list it is a delivery satifaction survey.

It must be a third party company.  That is hired by AAA, and Leons.

I finally picked up on the 4th time they called.  I had to wait about 10 seconds and then an automated voice about my AAA membership.

I live in Michigan.  I didn't pick up until the 3rd call in the same afternoon.  This call was from AAA because I did not renew my membership.  The person who wrote that the same callback number can appear for multiple companies/solicitors must be right.

I got this call this afternoon and I didn't answer it since I don't think it is someone that I know. Acturally my cell phone is brand-new phone. I just bought it a couple days ago. Since I still set up some functions and settings on my iphone, I did NOT tell anyone my phone number. I am AAA member but I don't think AAA has my new cell phone number now.

The most possible situation is: AT&T sells our phone numbers to some ad company to harrass us.
