this number calls me twice a day every day. i finally answered it today.  it was a middle-eastern man asking for me by my maiden name, which i have not had for 6 years.  he was referring to a credit card debt that i had settled 6 months ago directly with the credit card company.  now he insisted that i pay the difference of the balance due and the settlement amount that i paid to his company so they can restore my credit.  he kept interrupting me and would not let me off the line until i finally hung up on him.  i'm pretty sure it's a scam.

I have been getting called from this number for about 2 weeks precisely every 12 hours. I do not pick up, because those 12 hour increments actually both fall onto bad times for me to talk on the phone, ironically. However, after reading this, I will make an effort to answer the next time they call, except I will answer my phone, "Hello, FBI"

This company is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Sloppy record keeping, failure to validate at every level, under-trained, uneducated collectors SEVERELY lacking in Fair Debt Collection Practices Act training.

Intellirisk must be making BIG bucks in collecting because they sure don't spend it to insure they comply with the laws. Student loans with these idiots is a nightmare. Most Allied collector's don't have a clue in handling even the most basic of consumer complaints. Loans that have been paid, in the wrong names and outdated credit bureau reporting are fast targets for lawsuits because Allied is unable or unwilling to respond.

If you receive a collection notice from Allied DISPUTE IT! Even though you will never receive a reply, it is important that you use the law to your advantage. Allied aptly fits the saying; "the right hand hasn't a clue what the left hand is doing" Brain-Dead! Idiots! Untrained!

May I state again....THANK GOD FOR THE FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT!! Someone in Washington must have had a dream about companies like Allied to enact the law. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Now I simply hit the dismiss key on my phone or answer "Better Business Bureau.....May I help you?" That did'nt work either. I don't need this sh...!

Debt collector scammers. Apparently their name is Allied Interstate Inc. It doesn't matter if you owe a debt or not, or if you're not even the person they're looking for. They will keep calling and harassing you. You will never be taken off their computerized auto-dial list.

you would honestly think that when you answer and you tell them what you need and they cant deliever then they need to stop calling people thats harrassment and they should not be allowed to call those who are elderly and live by themselves this is wrong and should be stopped

On April 8th I received a call from AlliedInterstate regarding a credit card debt that I had already settled with the credit card company. I explained to them that I had already paid the amount in question, and was reassured that the matter would be straightened out on their end and there was no need to worry.

Two months go by, and I receive another call from AlliedInsterstate: apparently they decided to continue pursuing the alleged debt. I reiterated that I had sent my payment to the bank, and reminded them of our conversation two months prior. Once again, I was reassured that they will straighten the matter out with the creditor. In the meantime, my credit has been adversely affected. So I'm taking this to the next level: I've contacted my attorney, I'm suing.

I started receiving calls yesterday (Sunday) morning, the first call at 8:16am.  They were asking for someone I do not know so the man said he would take my # out.  I got 4 more calls yesterday, all said they would take my # out.
Then today, (Monday), I get a call at 6:35am...let me repeat that...6:35am!  I explained to the collector about the calls yesterday and that I know they are from another country , but it is illegal to call before 8am..I also asked her if she was familiar w/the FDCPA, she said yes.  I wanted the address of her company and she said she couldn't provide it.  I asked for a supervisor and she said he was busy so I said I would hold til one was available.  I finally spoke to "Sudeve" who said his auto dialer is only calling Central Time Zone numbers right now so my phone number must be Central.  I told him to Google the 253 area code and he would find out it's in the Pacific time zone.  He did do it, but made no apologies so I finally got an address out of him as I said I was going to make a complaint to the WA State Attorney General if his company continues to call my house.  (I am a former ETHICAL debt collector, so am familiar with the laws)

I think we should ban together and all call them back about the same time several times a day to see what sort of response we get.  Give it back.

I have been receiving calls from this number for months and everytime we answer, no one is on the other line and the call disconnects.  They have been calling us as early as 5:30am PST.  Today I got fed up and called the number back.  The man's accent was so thick I could hardly understand him.  

He said that they were trying to reach someone named "pussycat".  ???  I told him that no one by that name lives here and they need to take the number OFF their list.  He told me that he just removed the number and we should not be receiving any more calls.  

I hope that is true.  I hate waking up to their phone calls!

They called me early this morning, around 6 am and left no message on my voicemail. Usually when i answer there is nothing but silence

I am glad that you are doing something about this.I have also.but I have never heard anything back on who this is.......The other person that I read a coment from said exactly the samething as you did too. That they will not tell you the name of there company and that they can't speak english at all........I am so sad to see taht people have to be scammers...I will not give any information of mine out unless I am the one calling and asking for the help or what so ever.you know when you need to give out certain information.
I get a lot of scammers also on my computer. I send them off as phishing........but not sure what really happens. I got one from Paypal asking for all my information again .and so I got smart and called....they asked me to forward that email to them that they will never ask you to update your information like that in a letter.......I am so glad that these companies are also helping.

Called me didn't pick up

This person calls me every day a little after 8:00am. I work second shift so they always wake me up, but I usually don't answer the call. Today they actually left a voicemail for the first time but it was just about a minute full of silence and what sounded like static. Then later they called again at 2pm. I answered it and they abruptly hung up.

3 times a day/ 7 days a week. Don't know who they are. Never leave a message.

They are a harassing bunch of clowns that will not give you the specifics to why they're calling us.

I just called them back, asked the middle eastern man if he wanted me to buy him a beer.  LOL, he then asked for my number, I told him 420-420-6969.  :)  I then switched my accent sound and said "You call me, I call-a you", then proceeded to ask about him.  Then said 'have a good day', he was done, so I simply replied "NIPPLES NIPPLES NIPPLES!".

Okay, yes, I know...immature.  *shrugs*  However, I'm giving them a simple taste of their aggravating medicine, how does it feel to be annoyed?  Hell, I was annoyed at myself for talking as such!  :p

they just called my cell again..theyve been calling mine and daughters (minor) cell phones..asking for husband..i got him on phone..they say we owe a chevron bill opened in 2007 - we never have had a chevron card..so they asked dh for his last 4 on SS number...yeah right buddy. i checked credit reports...no chevron on there ever.....its a scam...dave ramsey was just talking about it on his show last week or so
