- malibu79 replies to Carla| 2 repliesFirstSource Advantage is not a scam, they are a 3rd party collection agency hired by multi-billion dollar clients, such as HSBC, Capitol One and Target, just to name a few, to collect money from people that apply for credit and don't have any intention on paying back the money...No wonder the US is in such a deficit...2ndly, the option to unblock their number is at their discretion....And as far as asking for your info...the personal info of the debtor is in the system and right on the computer screens as they are asking you for it, its simply a way of verifying that they are releasing personal debt info to the correct person...now google that nimwit

vebal does not work. This agency will stop calling place of work on a verbal but written is required by law. - William Firewater (a Debt Collector) replies to worst buy and lastsource aka FIRSTSOURCEImmediately get them on the phone and ask for a sup. Once the sup on the phone "DEMAND" a manager.
Once you have a manager on the Phone threaten to sue over their false information.(And DO be prepared to go to an attorney to do so) Offer a below blanket settlement. Offer a settlement between 10 and 15 percent insist that the manager "personally" summit in writting to debt holder. Junk debt is usually sold at 23 cents on the dollar so you will be refused but you can expect a counter offer. The collections agency does not own these debt but a third party buyer does and the collection is paid a percent of what is collected.
Think of it like this if I bought $100 bills for $25 each and then had to pay a vendor 10% to put them in his store I would want him to sell the for about $35 each but he is making a percentage so he would rather sell them for $40.
When you do get an offer be sure to get in writting. Keep the offer letter the clear check and and final letter (recipt) for life. (Not 7 years) (but until Death) - Annoyed| 1 replyFirstsource Advantage, LLC and there are numerous complaints on the Internet about this debt collection agency.

- NotTellingUI received calls from this place. They would call every hour on the hour. I could never understand them (guess I got the jerks in India). I was calm and asked them why they were calling. They couldn't tell me WHO they were looking for. I don't use my cell with accounts, nor do I owe anyone anything. After I told them they had the wrong number (I searched some name they said, and the phone number was 1 off of mine) they stopped. And it started again. After I threatened to hunt them down, since I live a few minutes away, calls stopped. :)
- educated too replies to LaurenLauren, you may be educated, make more money than us, etc BUT YOU'RE STILL A BI%(*!!! I am also educated and know the law and my rights. When one of these towel wearing India a$$es calls my work & family members and I tell them NOT TO CALL THERE AGAIN, they cannot legally call there again. Just because you're educated doesn't mean crap!! What would you do if you lost your job tomorrow and had to live on just your poor hubby's income?? Could you?? Likely NOT. My husband and myself made good money as well until the economy took a [***] then guess what, the credit card bills are the FIRST to NOT get paid as I will keep a roof over my head and food on my table before I worry about paying credit cards that were NOT understanding and would NOT help us with a payment plan, etc; so we told them to get bent and filed bankruptcy!! Guess what, when you stupid collection agencies KNOW this, and still call me and send me letters, my attorneys will go after them now...AS THAT TOO IS AGAINST THE LAW...maybe you wouldn't be so damn bitter if you didn't come across as such a witch and get a real job....something where harrasing people that either cannot pay as they don't have the means or don't owe these jerks anything!!! I've read a lot online about the unethical behavior of this FirstSource Advantage company and many of their practices are illegal so I hope my EDUCATED ATTORNEY nails their a$$es to the friggin' wall!!!
- you're wrong replies to William Firewater (a Debt Collector)You are wrong William; from what my attorney has told me, if you tell ANY debt collection agency to STOP calling your work or your family members, neighbors, etc they LEGALLY HAVE TO STOP calling. My attorney's are going after these jerks because they broke the law and called my work a day after I had told them not to. If they disclose ANYTHING to a friend or family member they call looking for you, they are again, BREAKING THE LAW, AND if they contact you in any way shape or form after you've informed them you're filing bankruptcy and they have all your attorney information, THEY ARE AGAIN; OOPS, THAT'S RIGHT; BREAKING THE LAW. That is exactly what this company did to me and my attorney's are going after them and I hope they nail them to the wall...creeps!!!
- BeeI got a call from FIRST SOURCE ADVANTAGE LLC 1-888-270-2281 saying that i owe Sus 200+ and they instantly asked me to verify my name and provide them date of birth. I asked them what was this about? and then they said, well can you confirm your email address? which i said NO to both. He gave me this telephone number and said when you call, give them this xxxx reference number. I called and a "secretary" answered, which i just hung up. I checked my accounts and dont owe a penny. BEWARE....This is definitely a scam to obtain your personal information!

- Brandy Grayson replies to CarlaFirst Source Advantage is not a scam. They are a very real debt collectpr. They are based out of NY. I am currently with representation against them for breaking all the fair credit act laws. They have a habit of harassing people and not playing by the rules. However they are real and if you are recieving contact from them it is in regards to a debt. I hope this was helpful. Best of luck.
- Jane JuddWe keep getting calls from them concerning my daughter who is married, does not live with us. Don't know how they got our name & #. They always hang up. The last time my husband told them to stop calling & they did for a while. But got a call this morning, said it was very important, urgent that we call back. We're on the do not call registry too, but that doesn't seem to work. Left different number to call back - 888 #.

- Kelsey1224| 1 replyI repeatedly received calls from First Source Advantage (818-459-4005) at my place of business. Whenever I would answer the calls and identify who I was and what department...whomever would hang up. Finally, after two weeks, I finally took down the phone number and called it back. This place would quickly rush over their name (First Source Advantage) and refused to tell me why they were calling. The gentleman (I use the word loosely) did ask if I was another person. When I confirmed that I didn't know that person and that this was my direct business line, he said he would make sure the record was corrected. When I asked why he was calling, he got very indignant and said that he couldn't explain their business practices. I asked if it was their business practice to repeated call phone numbers and disconnect when a live person answered the phone. I explained that this problem could have been solved two weeks ago if someone had simply done the professional thing and identified themselves when they got my number. This representative got very indignant but said my number would be removed from their database. WRONG!!!
About 3 hours later...I got another call. When I called them back, the person I spoke with explained that it took 24 hours to remove someone from a database. Okay...I get that. But she gave me a completely different name of who they were looking for. When I asked for a supervisor (Bill), he proceeded to say it was my fault because I should have called then right back the first time they called. Seriously??? I'm actually working and I'm suppose to call back every wrong number I get. He asked if there were other people working here. Yea...I work for Disney...we have over 140,000 employees. He said that sometimes people give the wrong number by mistake and wanted me to give him the operator so he could ask to be connected to the person in question. Again...seriously? At that point I wouldn't have helped him even if the person they were looking for was the sleaziest low life in the world. No...wait...the sleazy low lifes are those people working for this company.- Caller: First Source Advantage
