They call sometimes 4x a day, everyday, Sundays included, up until 8:30pm, I don't have VM so I just let it ring. I am not answering their calls since I don't answer calls from an Unknown Name. I know they are very annoying and wish they would stop calling. I would love to answer the phone and go off on them but that would feed into there ignorance which I don't want to do....Is there anyway to stop these ppl. I have been on the Do Not Call list since it started and recently updated my status with the registry.

10-24-09 one hang up. sometimes one call in a day. another day calls come back to back all different numbers used.

Portfolio Associates... bottom feeders with a constant flow of harassing calls.   Blocked the number.  Old debt that has been forgiven keeps being passed around in the hopes that someone will bite and make even the slightest payment.  The clock for forgiveness is 7 years long... any acknowledgement of the debt or payment resets the clock.  Ignore and live your life... move forward

Same as what the others are saying same company...I have them on reject list but now I find that I get calls even using MY local area code but I still think it is them....they keep popping up with different numbers so the faster I block the more numbers they dream up  What they don't realize is that this is a law enf phone...

They do not leave a message.  I read the previous comments on this site and saw others say it is Portfolio Recovery.  I have nothing that needs to be recovered so I looked on their website.  You can access your account via the Portfolio Recovery to see what is owed.  Of course nothing shows up when using MY information so I can only guess they have a wrong phone number.  You can visit https://www.prapay.com/phonein to access the account.  It will ask for your account number.  Of course I didn't have one as this call does not apply to me so I clicked on Don’t have your account number to access PRApay.com?  This will allow you to use a phone number vs an account number.  When I complete the information the following is what I get:  "I'm sorry, the information provided does not match our records. Please try again."  Next time I will answer and tell them to remove my number from their call list or I will report them.

Have been getting calls from this number and their old number (Portfolio Associates) at home, at work, and on my cell phone. Never answer and there is no message left.

No message.  When dialed back, I got a busy signal.  Unless they leave a message letting me know who they are, I will not try to call them again.  Probably spam or a scam.

Didn't answer and didn't leave a message. From reading the others comments about this number I blocked it. I never answer a number I don't recognize. There are some real weirdos out there these days preying on anyone for whatever they can get. The ones that do leave messages never make any sense so you know they are just vultures trying to get you to call them back. So don't answer a number you don't recognize and if they don't leave a message with a viable company name you don't recognize then block them.

Not scum bags but scam bags. They have no legal rights to try to collect a debt that is not mine and 20 years old. If they have the nads to come collect it in person, they will meet my friend, Mr. Colt.
