Got amessage from them two days ago.
Today i got a letter w/ a file number, the amount to send, and a threatening federal law announcement.
Smells like a scam but how do i verify this?

From the www site you will be jumped to when you enter the PRIVATE CODE they leave in the recorded message REGARDLESS that they have done NO DUE DILIGENCE by contacting the telephone company, or making any attempt to verify that the phone number which they are calling has ANYTHING to do with whom they are harrasing on behalf of some [expletive deleted] corporation too lazy to do their own harrasment:

They call on account that was paid over six months ago to the company who the money was owed to ....  They continue to call even after copy of payment was sent to them in writing with credit card statement from when it was paid...... naturally it is an automated call. They continue with annoyance calls!!!

Hey, its illegal to collect debts discharged in bankrupcy.  My lawyer said I can be awarded some money for each time thry try to collect.  I HOPE they are legitimate in their collection attempts, I can use the money!

This is a call that gives a message to go online to www.warningnotice.com and put in an ID #.  I've read what people previously wrote and this does take you to a ligitimate web sight.  It usually is used by different insurance company's and other to collect on a bill that has not been paid.  If, you press message and put in the # they've given you, it will tell what you owe and to whom.

I keep receiving these calls, and when I call the number to let them know I am not who they are looking for I get no reply. Have also just hung up and still get the call's. I really think they should and could find something else to do with their spare time. Also tried contacting them on the computer to see what this was all about and get no where there either. Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem with these pain in the butt's.

Its an actual collection agencie, not a scam.  Most likely insurance debt.  If you dont pay they will blow up your phone regardless.   They send threatening letters to scare you into paying.  If its a high bill then they can sue you if the client that is owed is willing to do so.  I asked them if they put it on your credit and they told me they had no way of telling.  Idiots...you either do or you dont. DUH>  My debt is from farmers insurance and so if its not on my credit report then i dont care about it. hah!

these peoplekeep calling me @ all hours of the night and @ my plaxce of employment i could lose my job because of there calls. i've paid the debts off months ago but no one can update their systems thats just wrong

They are basically debt collectors.  If you owe money to a Hollywood Video type of store, they will call you to collect your debt.  Don't get angry at them; get amgry at Hollywood Video (or whatever store you owe ddebt to).

If your phone # is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry, you can file a complaint at the registry’s website at www.donotcall.gov or by calling the registry’s toll-free number at 1-888-382-1222. If you're not registered you can do that at these location too.  It doesn't fix all problems with creeps like these guys, but it helps.

I called back right after they called and told them, I have no idea who you are or why you are calling me and they asked for my phone number and my name... I told them and they said I'm sorry we were looking for So&so. So I told them to stop calling... they removed my number from the list.

They are with CCS they are a collection company with mainly dealing with medical bills.  You should be able to find there website and pay the bill online.  They are nice and helpful

hese people call over and over. won't answer the phone since I don't reconize the #. called my house at 8 o'clock this morning:( I figure it's just a scammer and not worth my time

This could be one of those scams where you call the number and end of getting billed hundreds or thousands of dollars in foreign country phone charges. Screw them! Do NOT call back!
