I kept getting calls from these guys more and more often, but I don't answer calls I don't recognize (877-317-5659).  Got on here, entered the number, and saw "Synchrony Bank" in the reviews so I did some poking around.  I'd opened a credit card through a store who uses Synchrony Bank and hadn't gotten my card or my first bill yet, so it was sent through this bank's collections department.  I called the store and they gave me the bank's number: 1-800-333-1071.  I called and it took me to an automated voice response, so I just kept saying "operator" and finally got a live person to talk to.  They did ask for my SSN, and I gave it to them hesitantly, but when I explained what had happened, she gladly reversed my late fee and re-sent another card; turns out they had the wrong mailing address on file.  It literally took less than 10 minutes from the time I hit send to the time I hung up.  Easy peasy, and now they've stopped calling :)

Do you get paid enough by your PR firm to sell out your soul?  Try making a payment too early and get a late fee....creepy!

Legit or not, any company sending out a robocall that when you pick up asks you to hold for the next available person is a load of BS.

No messages left. Call all hours of the day.

Tony, are you affiliate with Synchrony Bank? You really seem to be on the defense!  I am a customer of Synchrony, my account is up to date and they still call at least 3 times a day.  I have texted them, blocked their calls and soon to call the Attorney Generals office because of their harassment.

If the number is legit then how come when the number gets searched into google, there is no company that claims the number?
FYI: I started receiving calls from them today and I happen to know that I'm not late on any payments, so why are you guys calling? Also, there is a person on this list that stated that he doesn't even have any credit cards yet receives calls from you guys. If you guys are really legit, your number should link you to your company Synchrony Bank and you should only need to call once a day if that with a detailed message on what the late payment is in regards to. Otherwise everyone on here is free to assume that you are all scammers. People are not morons for thinking so, they're being smart.

If you owe a debit that you do not pay you know this will happen. Block, ignore, post some BS on here. Do what ever  else you want to do. We all know what comes next. The account gets turned over to a collections agency. Then the phone call fun really begins. See if they have a hardship loan program. Try to work something out. Just don't get on here saying how innocent you are or you don't answer numbers you don't know. Do you really think anyone  that reads these post believes you are that naive and totally innocent that you have no idea what is going on. Pay your debits or live with this happening. Easy choice. Make it!

These stupid calls come at all hours of the day and night. Sometimes I get a voice mail from them but usually don't. FINALLY, a live person called and her accent (Indian?) was so thick I really couldn't understand much.  This call was being recorded but no one told me it would be--that's totally illegal here.  She asked for my phone number--WHAT? She just called me.

Stupid for a company or person to call to collect money I MAY owe and not have information like that. The robot calls continue and ask for me to hit 1, 2, or 3 depending on my zip code and still ask for last 4 of my ss#.

How lame to ask for all this and just say they are from Syncrony but never indicate what account they are referring to. Next, they will ask if I want to give them my cc# to pay it off today.

    Like that's going to happen.
