It is a legitimate call, it's Synchrony  Bank. You may have a account with them of some sort . They call for JC Penneys and also Care credit I am sure they manage a lot of different accounts. This call is not a scam. If you are behind on a payment they will start  calling you . Just answer and make arrangements and the calls will cease..

This is Syncrony Banks Collection service, so if you get a call from this number, well you missed a payment.
I do not agree how they go about it, it is creepy and scary.  The number should be identified, and not the way they are going about it.

Recording said the call was for me (said my full name), that it would be recorded and to press button for more information.  Hung up and when googled number, result said it is Safe Step Walk-In Tubs.

This is from Syndicate Bank. Asking for a person I've never heard of. Robo call recorded message. Calling several times per day. I am on DNC list. I looked them up online and they are a banking institution in India.

My phone system does not allow me to block calls. If I don't answer they leave the recording on voice mail. So irritating! I am on the DNC registry.

Identifies as Syndicate Bank. Research shows that bank in India and England, Not in the US. Voice asks1 for English 2 for Spanish. Let there be no doubt that this is purely a scam. The Do Not Call registry can't help with calls from outside the country. Just don't answer.

Harassing phone calls, will not allow to proceed to a service rep without entering ssn

I called the number to find out who they are. 1st, they asked for my account # that I don't have. 2nd, they wanted my social security # which I refused to give them. I asked to look up my account by my phone number. I told them the number 2 times just to verify what they told me: They have NO record of my phone number. I don't owe them anything and have no account with them. Wouldn't that make THEM the morons?

You need to grow up.  AND you have no idea what you are talking about.  Quit trying to minimize people and care for yourself before judging others when you have no info on the circumstances.

These people are pestering me for money that I don't owe anyone. They want my social security number.

This call may have been from Synchrony Bank as other comments have suggested, but this ROBO call never connected me to a person. I do have a reason to talk to this bank, but the call back number can not be reached

called me 3 times today I ans. the first call they said this call may be monitored for quality services so I waited and no one came on to say anything. I tried to hang up but my phone would not hang up. took me several hrs. to get my phone back.  my caller ID said Syndicate Bank.

They started calling a few months ago, then the calls stopped. They've started up again. Several times per day. If I answer the phone it is a recording saying the message is for Samantha Powell from Synchrony Bank. Looks as if I'm not the only one being harassed by these robo calls. If I had ever wanted to do business with Synchrony Bank this would have (and has) changed my mind in a hurry. STOP CALLING!!

they call many times a day starting at 8am till 8pm.they never talk to my answering machine as far as i'm concern it a harassing call  or threat  maybe i need to give number to homeland security
