They are affiliated with Bryant Hodge & Associates, trying to collect on a payday loan.  They purchased the debt from the creditor. They threatened me with the sheriffs, called my neighbors and in a two month period have called me over 50 times, sometimes 3 calls within 1 minute.  I have sent them a cease and desist letter, filed complaints with the BBB and the Fair Trade Commission.  I also consulted a lawyer who told me they have no legal ground to collect on this debt because the statute of limitations has run out and they are not the original company who issued the loan and if they continue to harass me I should file a complaint with my local police department.  The reply they sent to the BBB claims they don't harass, threaten or use scare tactics but i provided proof to show that they do.  They need to be put out of business, nothing but a bunch of scum bags. Don't agree to pay anything, it can reopen the claim and then they will be able to collect on this debt.

You guys are a pieces of work. Don't take out a loan if not going to pay back. How the hell does the company get all your info? If a scam, you all are the scammers. Yes, you can be facing a suit if don't pay back. I don't understand. You ppl just simply say you not paying back and the call should stop. Your parents should be really proud she raised a loser, not C.F.A problem.

    Help Stop these people
    Here’s what to do:
If you receive a suspicious telephone call:

Ask the caller to provide their name, company name, address, phone number, and official documentation verifying the debt.
Don’t provide or confirm any bank account, credit card, social security number or other personal information over the phone.
Report suspicious calls to companies who’s names are being used and report to your local law enforcement.

If you are a victim you need to file complaints to the following to help stop these scammers:

    Alpharetta Police Department
    2565 Old Milton Parkway
    Alpharetta, GA 30009
    678-297-6300 ext 7

    the Better Business Bereau
    https://www.bbb.org/

    Internet Crime Complaint Center
    http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller’s instructions. Rather, you should:

    Notify your banking institutions.
Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
    File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:

Never give your Social Security number—or personal information of any kind—over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.
Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.
Clear your cache when you are done using the web.
Don’t save your passwords on your computer.
Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.
When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statements

do your research. If someone calls you, get as much information about them as possible and give as little about yourself as possible. Secondly, research everything they told you.

You people called my mother about a law suit from Wachovia about a negative balance that was never paid off. Firstly she closed the account in 2007.. 5 years ago. The statute in the state of Florida is you can't go after someone forbade debt that's lasted 4 years. Also, you called her father in law whom wasn't even around when she created the account. And you said the address associated with that account was from an address in 2010. She requested documentation and you denied it. All of these tells me you're a scam and our lawyer is looking into you. Best of luck.

No, the "sadest" thing is that you do not know how to spell. For future reference, if you are trying to create persuasive rebuttal to someone that you find a cerebral opponent, you might want to utilize spell check. Without doing so only negates any sort of point you attempted to make and ensures a chuckle from the rest of us due to your lack of D's in "saddest" and "address". Basic grammar and technicalities of the English language are your tools, here. For example, I'll use it in a sentence.

So you don't look like the sadest company, you might want to adress this with your fellow cohorts.

    Hahaha

Received a call on yesterday 6/20/2013, stating I owed 356.00 for a pay day loan, over seven years ago. To be honest I thought I paid it. Was not sure, got scared an made a payment of 136.00.  However when I got the receipt my address was wrong (red flag), I call them back the rude person that answered the telephone, inform me that the correct address is in there system, and that all that matters.  I than ask to speak with Mr. Steven J. Sanders, Jr., I was then inform that he was not available and may not be able to return the call. The receipt came from and email address: CFS Employee<sadams@cfraudll.com

How can I get my money back?
