    No Nonsense
I recently received a call from 1-877-671-1851 but I did not answer the call. One of my friends received a similar call and opted to press the # 6 to indicate that he was not interested in the offer. The next month he got a bill from his phone carrier with charges added for Third Party services. My advice is NOT to answer the call. DO NOT speak to anyone. Do NOT press any numbers. DO NOT say yes to any questions and DONOT give out any information. BEWARE of any postings advising you to do anything other than steer clear of this call. Scam artists can post messages just like we can.

I get a call from this number almost daily, no message left, no caller ID.  Wonder who these folks are as I see others are getting similar calls too from this number.

THESE PEOPLE FOR SURE REALLY ARE SPRINT:

So I received a call from these guys and I immediately started thinking it was a scammer. So while bullsh*** on the phone with them I decided to google them to be absolutely sure it was a scam. So I came across this site and thought for sure it was a scammer. The lady couldn't provide me with any account info except one of my old addresses and she didn't even ask for my account pin or security question. So I thought for sure she was a scammer, especially with the thick thick accent. So I just said yes to every one of their questions messing around with them and taking their sweet time. They were offering me another phone for free for a third line even though I had just added a second phone to my plan about five days earlier. So I'm just waiting and waiting for them to finally pop the question for my credit card #. We agree to send me the phone for free at no cost at all...yea yea whatever whatever. The phone was an LG Optimus. She reads off a confirmation number to me and I write it down and that was it. SHE NEVER ASKED FOR A CREDIT CARD NUMBER. So I was like WTF, a scammer just wanted to validate a physical address and that was it? I had no idea what just happened because I thought for sure it was not Sprint.

    ONE WEEK LATER...
A package arrives. Its an LG Optimus phone...the real thing with a printed receipt from Sprint. No charges were ever added to my credit card. So I immediately called Sprint to verify it was them and low and behold I had the extra line added onto my account with an area code of 818 (Hawaii). I didn't get to choose the area code, but that must be where the people are calling from.

    MY TAKE...
Sprint hires people who will work for cheap (possibly people who don't even have citizenship) and holds a secret little telemarketing side of their business.

I live by this rule, if your number isn't in my phone already or you don't leave a message- screw you I am NOT picking up the call.  If Sprint continues with the calls, I will NOT be renewing w/ them anytime soon!

It is not a bill collector. I got called and have never been late with a payment. It's just a telemarketer.

I was told by Sprint that this was a scam number and not a sprint number!  I'm not sure it was.  I was offered free phones to upgrade my phones for being a customer for so long and when I called sprint to confirm which phones where free I was told that I didn't qualify for an offer and was on the phone for over an hour talking to sprint.  The number knew my account information....eg.. how long I have had my phones, how many I had, and my name.  This concerns me greatly because 1.  How did they have all that information if they were not from sprint and 2. If they are sprint, why am I being made offers and told it is a scam when they don't want to deliver on the offer?  I called the number back on a lan line and it says it's sprint/nextel number but sprint told me if I called the number it wouldn't be answered by anybody and it was a bad number.  What the hell is going on?  Anybody know????????

    Your All Dumb
If you don't want to receive anymore calls from this number BLOCK IT!!! All you have to do is login to your sprint account online and add the number to the blocked list. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, call sprint and have them walk you through it. Quit complaining and do something about it,

It's Sprint, not a bill collector. They are just trying to sell you more products and lines. I've asked for them to stop calling since I live alone, and clearly won't be adding a line. That clearly didn't work.

Here's a thought... I seem to get these kinds of calls after visiting a sevice center (who sub contract to sprint) or downloading a free app... maybe WE unwittingly give our own number...

I get a call from this number several times a week, sometimes multiple times in one day. I didn't answer the first time because I didn't recognize it and wanted to look it up first. It has called me repeatedly since and I'm just hoping that it, just like the others have so far, will stop after a month or so.
