Itis effective if you keep a whistle near the phone. Blow that in their ear and its gonna hurt and probably stop any more calls from that number.

I keep a whistle next to the phone and when I get these calls and they don't answer I blow the whistle, it has got to hurt if they are listening. If not, no harm, but I notice they don't call a second and third time when I do that.

Keeps calling my number, hard to understand, told the person it is harrasement but does not seem to stop.

They called me five times yesterday. I didn't answer and they left no message. They have been calling me for two weeks but yesterday was the most in one day and the last one was after 9 p.m. I'm getting so sick of these telemarketer calls I want to scream every time the phone rings. I've gotten so I don't answer any calls from 877 or 888 or 886 or any of the 800 numbers unless they leave a message and I recognize the caller or the company. All these calls upset people when they come in multiple times a day and there is either no one there or they don't leave a message or if they are there they just want to scam you out of money some way some how. There has got to be a way to stop these calls. Today's technology should be able to figure out a way to let you block these calls from coming in at all.

I got 6 calls so far today from 877-886-9298.

THIS IS A "SPOOFED" NUMBER....I am getting these calls 10 to 15 times a day from various "spoofers".

Folks....let's face some facts.  The FTC or the FCC aren't going to do ANYTHING to prevent this horrible invasion of privacy.....How do I know this?  This blog was started in 2011 and has 5 pages of posts.   Certainly at least a few of the posters have filed complaints with the FTC, the FCC....put their number on the Do-Not-Call-Lists  etc, etc.  Has anything been done to track down the abuse?  I don't think so, do you?

The  phone number that is the subject of this thread  is a " SPOOFED" number, not the real number this freak is calling from. (Google  This:  "what is Spoofing?)  Spoofing is  illegal if used to commit  fraud or to harm someone.....it is NOT illegal under certain circumstances.  I've added Caller ID to my service and  do not answer ANY calls unless I can identify the caller. That ends the  call from the telemarketer who would never leave a legitimate number on my answering machine.  I also e-mailed all my relatives  to let the phone ring longer than usual
(so I have time to check the number) and ALWAYS leave a message for me to call them.

BUT....BUT.....BUT  this does not end  the  problem of the phone ringing 10 to 15 times a day....while I am in the  bathroom, sleeping, etc.

I received 9 calls from this number in about 5 hours.  No message left.

Someone at this number keeps calling me continually and does not say anything sensible.

I belong to both Do Not Call List how come they keep calling and calling. So why do we belong to the Do Not Call List if they break the Law?????? Sick of the 1+800/ 1+877/ All the 800 #'s how can we stop them from calling and calling everyday over and over and over??????

They have called my home numerous times. I do not answer and they hang up when answer machine comes on

I just got called and the Arabic sounding guy was trying to sell me auto insurance. The moment I said let me talk to you supervisor, the guy said that he would transfer me and hung up instead. so just ask to speak to their supervisor and  they will hang us sooo damn fast.

They have called me 23 times in the past 15 days. They never leave a message. This is definitely a scam and needs to be red flagged. Please report these calls to the National Do Not Call Registry so we can get these people shut down for good. I have gotten 8 calls from this  number and I would like my number locked so I receive no more calls.

Not sure where these people are getting my number, but I also receive calls from a number 209-233-8864 that seems to follow the same protocol as this one does. I just saved it in my phones contact list as Do Not Answer and set that contact to go directly to voice mail...the last call I received from them was January 14th after receiving multiple calls daily since December...Maybe they don't like going directly into voicemail...it never actually rings my phone and they never leave a message...

The above # called me 3-4x today never left a voicemail and when I answer it hangs up before I even say hello. Stop stop stop calling me

Ya they call all the time, more than half of those times no one speaks and the call ends. Today, I finally got to speak to an Indian guy, supposedly named "Jason." How many Indians do y'all know that are named Jason? Lol anyways I played along to see if I could get more information on the company they work for. Of course they couldn't release any of that info but I will keep trying and if I find out anything I will post back on here. I'd like to give them a taste of their own medicine!
