I received this call twice in the past few days... answered both times, nobody there, and the call went dead.  Called it back and reached a Sears Canada automated attendant.

Called here numerous times...dead air calls.

Thanks to this site I knew who to call back. Am on the DNCL...why should we have to waist our time to OPT OUT with these companies just for doing business with them! They're point is simple separate you from your money!!!

We should just stop shopping at places like these. It will send them a message quick.

Oh and FYI Sears now charges a 20% restalking fee.

P.S. The guy I called to remove me from their list was not happy and almost rude. WAKE UP SEARS!

Just got the call from the dreaded 1-877-889-2024. I tried reverse lookup on 411.ca, but nothing came up, so I know how great the internet is for finding stuff like this and found this site. Thanks everyone for letting me know. I purchased a product for Christmas from Sears (Couldn't find it anywhere else, and cost too much for shipping from internet). Don't really care for places like Sears, Leons etc. These companies are dinosaurs and hopefully won't be around much longer because they have sucky service, and harassing people with annoying soliciting calls will be their demise for sure.

I will try this number 1-866-491-2247 and use my best Peter Sellers accent. "chercher des puces!"

Got the phone call again this afternoon.

Called this number 1-866-491-2247, lady was very friendly and removed my name from their system. Said it will take a few days, so hopefully no more creepy silent phone calls. ;)

If this is Sears Canada, they just lost all my business. Times must be tough. Spammers spoofing their Caller ID? Not cool. Being on the National Do Not Call List, naturally we just reported this number to:

Calling once a day - three days in a row. They won't give up even though their number has now been blocked on our phone. Reported to CRTC on Feb. 16th, 2011.

Ne vous demandez pas quel idiot peut vous appeler à toute heure du jour, tous les jours, pendant des mois sans se tanner même si vous ne répondez jamais. Votre numéro de téléphone est dans un ordinateur, et cet ordinateur est programmé pour signaler éternellement la même liste de numéros, une ou deux fois par jour, que vous répondiez ou non. Il n'a aucune compréhension de l'inutilité de son entêtement ni aucune frustration pouvant l'amener à cesser son harcèlement; après tout ce n'est qu'un stupide ordinateur.

Ce qui m'intrigue, c'est qu'il n'y ait aucun message enregistré qui se déclenche quand nous répondons. S'ils veulent nous vendre quelque chose, il faudrait bien qu'ils nous parlent. Peut-être que nous n'attendons pas assez longtemps.

Merci à ceux qui ont affiché le no de Sears, d'où apparemment ces appels proviendraient. Je les ai appelés et j'ai demandé qu'ils enlèvent mon no de leur liste de sollicitation. La dame m'a dit que c'était fait. Je vous reviens dans une semaine pour vous dire si ça aura mis fin à ce harcèlement.

I called the number. Bought a Samsung LCD last year from Sears,, warranty ending in March, they wanted to know if I wanted to extend the warranty. Most likely a 3rd party company trying to get more business.

We get these annoying calls at night.  Because I have call display, I choose not to answer and let it ring.  We have voice mail but no messages are left.  Whoever this company is, STOP YOUR ANNOYING CALL PRACTICES.

Does not the CRTC have a way to cut off and fine these people?
Is not any number registered with someone somewhere?
I had to apply to my mobile phone carrier for a number and they could not just give me any one.

How does one make a fake phone number?

Called us 5 times now within 10 days even though their number is blocked. If this is truly Sears calling about warranty, I hope Sears is reading these reports because I won't ever buy another product from Sears as a result of this annoying telemarketing - that's the honest truth. Never again will I shop at Sears. The only company that comes close to being worse than Sears in terms of aggressive telemarketing like this is The Brick. They, too, lost all of our future business.

I don't have a Sears card and I never shop there - how did they get my number and why are they calling me!?!

Thank you Larry. U were right. It IS Sears. I called the number U gave us, I just told the lady to remove me from their calling list and no more calls since then.

Je peux vous confirmer que Larry avait raison. Ces appels proviennent d'une machine à signaler de Sears. J'ai appelé le no ci-haut le 19 février dernier et j'ai demandé à la dame qui m'a répondu de rayer mon nom de leur liste de sollicitation téléphonique. Elle l'a fait et je n'ai pas eu un seul appel de ce numéro depuis.
Alors appelez 1-866-491-2247 et dites que vous ne voulez plus recevoir d'appels de sollicitation.

I get calls every day from  this idiot and at different hours saterday and sunday included but I let the phone ring hoping the idiot wil get the message that I will answer his calls.

Calls received 3x within the last 7 days. Only silence. Combuter dialing? Scam? Annoying !!
