received 3 calls - one at night 2 daytime..whsh they would  bugger off

After getting a call from this # everyday for weeks, I finally picked up. It is Sears Canada, trying to sell a warranty for what ever you bought from them recently.

Yes, it did appear to be Sears Canada yet they get your Credit Card number. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. I haven't bought anything at Sears for the past four years yet they want me to get a warranty on an item that I sent back. They are prank callers so do not fall for it and do not give them your credit card numbers. The dead air is just an annoyance and if you stay on the line for 30 seconds plus it will count as a long distance charge on your phone. Apparently these people are in America and they are calling people in Canada. Don't pick up the phone.

Its Sears...they have problems with their systems...

The calls are coming from Sears trying to sell extended warranty. If you do not answer the call,
they will keep calling. Just answer it once  and tell them you are not interested. They will
stop calling.

It is Sears and if you call 1-800-361-6665 and press 2 option ask to be removed from their call list.  They have all the info re your name, address etc.

The number 877-889-2024, called me, and when I answered, no one answered me

If you are wanting to talk to me, let the company ID show with the phone number, other wise I will continue to not answer.

i spoke with SEARS Canada product warranty upgrade program today. Man sounded to have a East Asian / Indian  accent.

called here twice and nobody takes, Sick and tired of these companies that nothing better to do but harras us.

They call every day for the last two weeks. I never pick up, they never leave any message. VERY annoying.

It's just Sears calling to see if I wanted an extended warranty on a vacuum I bought a few months ago. I said no, and it's no big deal.

Actually I'm glad they call. A few years ago they called us just before our TV turned 1 year old. The damn thing had just bit the dust. I of course said ok, bought the warranty, waited a couple weeks, then went in and *bam*, got a brand new replacement TV.

Some people equate a phone call to having your kids murdered or something. Chill out, people. Really.

I received a call from this number just the other day.  The male with a heavy accent said he was from Sears and asked me if I was Miss Lean.  My first name has been butchered in the past so I told him my name and asked him what I could do for him.  He asked me if I wanted to buy extended insurance on the exercise climber I bought on the Sears card.  I asked him what he was talking about because I have never purchased an exercise climber from Sears.  He sounded confused and apologized for phoning me and said that his employee must have made a mistake.  I checked my Sears card right after the call to make sure that my Sears account wasn't compromised.  Luckily it wasn't.

Calm down, Mark.  

I am glad to see that the call was legit and that the man was being honest.  In the past, I have had my credit cards compromised so I was a bit concerned about his misinformation.
