Both my mother and father have recently received texts from this company and there is no way  that either of them would have signed up to anything like this. Thank you for the advise though. I have advised them to call and claim a refund.

I've just lodged a complaint about 88222 with phonepayplus, the regulator. I also told BBC Watchdog about it. Everyone here should consider doing likewise, multiple complaints will be more effective.

Same problem. Re ieved texts for a while. Actually said freetext at the top of msg. One said it had charged me £4.50. I called o2 who called for me and have requested the messages stop but refused to refund the money as they said it wasnt their fault. I have no idea how a company can buy your number and charge you for a service you haven't Asked for without your actual direct consent!

These messages are from LottoByText, sending STOPALL to 85200 will stop the service. You probably replied to a text offering you 5 free lottery entries so I'd log onto LottoByText.co.uk and see if you have won anything!

I just received these texts from Lottobytext, using 85200. Glad I looked this up and found this thread. I rang the number given on PhonepayPlus and politely but forcefully demanded to be removed and refunded. Hopefuly this will happen. I also complained to PhonepayPlus because any company that can take money without consent nes to be closed down and the directors jailed and their assets confiscated. Personally I'd like do more than that to them but that might be frowned upon by liberal do-gooders.

It sounds like you have registered to LottoByText at some point, maybe taking part in the free trial? Text STOP to 85200 to stop the messages.

As for those claim codes: Log into LottoByText.co.uk and check them.... U might be a winner!

Looks like theyve got me too!. I NEVER EVER subscribe to anything and always check the no marketing box. Cant beleive this! Have had two txts so far re: New Top tones. They tell you to txt stop and I have and did rec an instant reply to say will stop in 1 working day so we will see. Also rather worringly the number given to call for help 01179118350 just  rings and rings then it says in an automated message "This mailbox is full, you are unable to leave any message". Prehaps a sign the company have done a bunk? anyone who can offer help with this i will be most grateful. I will be calling orange very shortly with regards to this.
