Hi I was just looking up my ref No.on Lotterybytext and saw all these messages
about a scam, well I've been using lotterybytext for about a year now and found it to be very good its a much cheaper way of doing the lottery but you share your winnings with normally 2 other people in a sydicate but you do receive 5 lines for the price of £1.50 and when you win you just claim with the reference number
but I did order mine I'm not sure how you get a reference if you hav'nt applied for it but it's not a scam,
    so far anyway.

I've had dealing with FTC Media Limited, They were good. very informative and helpful.  Problem resolved.

Think FTC Media is right on this one - sometimes people on these forums dont get the true informaion, or only post the bits they want to and not all the facts.

Deal with it Phonepluspay - totally not fair.

hi there, ive got texts from 88222 lottobytext.  the service gives away lottery lines.  Its great.  If you dont want ot subscribe for every draw then do what i do register for the big draws only. i text yes to 88222 and get 5 lines for £1.50.  i then stop by sending back stop to 88222 and service stops.  they send me my five lines and when i ve won before only £10.. i just go to website and claim my winnings.

    Not a bad service

We should not have to call anyone to have to ask for our money back... They have just deducted £5 from my phone for saying stop too!!!  Very annoyed. But will now - after 20 min of researching options will have to call from my phone and speak to someone I dont want to talk to - after they basically stole my money - as they did not ask or forewarn me they were to do so!

I've had the same for weeks. I think it's costing a pound per text. Can't get Orange to block it. They tell me to e-mail them to stop. I'll try anyway.

Ok, so it would seem I've been conned too! I entered a competion on ITV.com!! and it was one where you had to click on the one's that you wouldn't mind having more information about, or to have stuff sent to you (brochures etc), This one was included in it and I just thought it would be handy to have a couple more lines on the lotto (6 actually, and 6 on euromillions) Not quite as free as they made out as they've still charged me £1.50 !!!!

My O2 account shows a recent charge for £1.28 for "interactive services received" from 88222. I don't even know what it relates to - I don't remember receiving any unsolicited messages and I never signed up for anything.

Who are these scum? What should I do to reverse this charge?

I have been charged £1.50 per service (whatever !) by 88222. The money goes to Frontier Media Services P.O. BOX 211376, in Dubai.

Contact    grahamneale@winplc.com to cancel the service, you can also call Graham on 01494 750543

After I had stopped the charges, Frontier Media Services, then started again at £3.00 on the new number of 89987

I have spoken to Graham again to stop the new service and I have contacted the regulator on freephone 0800 500 212 or you can check out their site at www.phonepayplus.org

Please report all issues to the phone regulator at
