Verizon Wireless.  Scared me too at first.

I looked into my account and noticed the same charges. Mine was for only 30$ a month from VZWRLSS.Verizon said it was for 3G for my iPad. This has been confirmed by my bank that its the 3G that I have on my iPAD. For the Cell coverage.
I dont remember agreeing to it but... it was a while ago.

My CC was charge by 912$ by VZWRLSS*D7719-01 (800-922-0204).
I contacted the CC company and canceled the card.
I don't know VZWRLSS store/shop/company.
Hope to be refund by the CC company.

Just had this happen to me....cancelled my card...disputed charges..called Verizon..no help at all!  Verizon knows this is going on...why don't they text all of us to warn us????

I live and work in Egypt.. and never had a verizon phone or internet or anything really... I live in on the other side of the world..!!! and found two VZWRLSS transactions on my credit card for 250 and 147 dollars.. bank in Egypt thought this is fishy and called me immediately and card was disabled..

I thought it is going to be an easy task to talk to Verizon about it as I come from a very far country and have nothing to do with them.. and my credit card is issued from bank in Egypt.. calling their customer service was useless.. they kept directing me to each other and then back to customer care.. wasting thirty minutes of international dialing..

The bank will try to handle the issue.. but sure a major fraud is going on here.. Bank here in Egypt might have limited powers..


any suggestions..?

I was charged $86.60 on my card and never called or used this card in months.I had it all paid off,but now someone found my #! I never received any calls,or made any calls!

Yep, it just happened to me.  I paid my Verizon wireless prepaid phone on saturday, and the following day Chase Bank listed 2 charges of $54.40... both with the 888#.  One was listed as Verizon, the other as POS Debit Iguel L. Ca..  So far Chase Claims is unable to determine which is the legitimate charge and which is the fraudulent - if either is even legitimate.  No one has my debit card info, and Verizon is no help at all.

I kept seeing this charge on my am/ex forever!  What a dunce I am.  I thought it was a charge for the data service on one of my children's iPads. I think I even know who is probably doing it.  Verizon is perplexed but after reading the first posts in this blog I see I have probably been scammed.  I hate liars and crooks.  Honestly.  I know Jesus loves them and I am supposed to, but right now I am just mad.

In my case, these people CANCELED my debit card, than activated a NEW card account, than made a purchase, they did this all without contact with me nor my card, for someone to have that much information, and ability to get a new card, HAS to be working in the bank system itself, I completely canceled my account and have to go back and see what other damage has been done. The bank acts like it's nothing. used to be, that if something like this happened they would go on high alert, and after seeing all these complaints, than you would think all banks would refuse pre paid Verizon from now on, at least until they clean up their employees and get better security,

THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THREE MONTHS NOW. I didnt know what the charge was, I was finally able to get online and make an account for my Debit/credit card, and saw the charges, I havent lost my card nor has anyone used it! No call was made to me..
