I am doubtful that this is really Earthlink.  Sometimes I get calls from this same number regarding my Visa card with last four numbers (inaudible)  I don't have a Visa card currently and I'm not sure I ever have.  My husband and I do have our DSL through Earthlink.  Unfortunately, since I am often working when they call me, I am never in the mood to just play along to see how far they will go.  I don't know how to stop these calls.  We are already on the do-not-call list.

This was an automated customer feedback survey.  I had recently contacted Earthlink about an email phishing scam.  Online chat helped me report it.  This call asked me to rate my satisfaction with the interaction.  While it seemed legit, it is odd since I completed a customer satisfaction survey immediately after my contact with them.  Oh well, evidently no harm done....

There is never anybody on the other end when I pick up a call from this number.  Just silence.  And they keep coming monthly.  I have reported it to the government "do not call list" people and put a block on my system for this number.

This number has called 4 in last two weeks.  I have now stopped answering phone, when I see that number.
They ask for $300. For me to win money.  Told them no no.  Then they cuss I hang up.  Friday they said they would come to my house an burn it down,reported to police.

Sometimes this call comes every 10 minutes for almost an hour.  It has come early on Sunday mornings.  I have tried to answer but there is not anyone there.  How do we report it. Do we report it to the FCC

Very irritating; getting multiple calls a day & no message is left (just a couple of beeps from a machine).
My experience sounds similar to others, but I have not call them.

Folks, these are scammers trying to steal your credit card information, calling from 888-327-8454

They only pretend to be Earthlink.

Wake the heck up - these are thieves trying to intimidate you into giving up your bank account or cc number.

Use the blocking feature available with your phone if you have one.

This may or may not work.... my husband's number, as well as my business and personal lines are on the NDNC Registry and yet, my husband is now getting calls like CRAZY! He has gotten 9 calls from this number today. I'm calling Earthlink's Corporate number tomorrow to report their outsourced "customer service" and will be severely chewing someone out for telemarketing on a Sunday! We DO NOT have Earthlink, nor would we ever have Earthlink, as it's not available where we live (besides the fact that I only work with companies I know and know I can speak with a more "local" tech support). I'm definitely adding the 888 number to our list of blocked calls because quite frankly, I'm sick of hearing my husband's phone ring on a Sunday while I'm trying to relax before work tomorrow!!

this person calls me up to 25 times a day. im on a no call list .its a autmated number  so i cant call it back. thay call home and cell .

I've received 13 calls in the last four days from this number on my cell.  At first I wouldn't answer and they've never once left a message.  I answered once two days ago telling them to stop calling (like I really expect them to though).  Now, I just answer the phone without saying anything and they hang up within 3 seconds.  This last time I didn't answer at all and they've still not left one message.

Got a call from them last night at midnight and ignored it. Today and noon I got another call where they left a message which was hard to understand of someone sounding very frustrated that this was the second time they called me and that I needed to pay my earthlink bill?

I do not and never have had any service though earthlink and neither has anyone I know, no idea where they got my info ...

This is absolutely Earthlink.  They called to let me know that my credit card used to pay my web domain services had expired (which it had).  IT IS GENUINE.  This number is not a scam.  I asked them to call me back in 20 minutes which they did.  While I waited for them to call back I logged into my earthlink account and updated the credit card information.  When they called back in 20 minutes they already knew I had updated my account and all they asked was if it was OK to process the payment at this time.  I said OK.  They were very very nice.

It is from Earthlink, I know for sure-- they call me at odd hours daily asking stupid questions since I am trying to port out my VOIP TRUE VOICE to other company that is a mobile provider.

The process is a nightmare - they don't know what PORTING is and instead they will try to cancel your service, so, if you are not careful, you will lose your phone number.

But according to the FCC regulations, they HAVE TO PORT YOUR NUMBER to basically anywhere you want within the same geographical area!!

I am still awaiting the results. My experience is really upsetting -- the nastiest customer service ever - of course connection and accent are bad as well... Hopefully one day outsourcing our jobs will also be illegal... just like Earthlink's service..

When I had Earthlink Service problems, they never called nor did they return my calls, I spent hundreds of hours trying to finally get away from them by PORTING OUT my VOIP TRUE VOICE number to other provider. Law say it should take only 1 day - it took them nearly a month.

Now, when I finally closed my account, some "Customer Service" from Philippines keeps calling my cell phone and leaves messages asking IF MY PROBLEM WAS SOLVED!! I will not answer in person as it would use too many minutes on my cell phone.

These people got no idea what they are doing other than trying to keep you from quitting Earthlink AKA the worst Internet and Home Phone provider!!!!

please, stay away from Earthlink!!!

Constant calls...I refuse to pick up the phone any more...let it go unanswered. How long does this crap go on?

This is the third call this morning in one hour...each time they call from a different number. I AM SICK OF THIS!

Fourth call today...how do I stop this insanity? GEEZ!!!
