This company started calling me a few days ago. I never answered the phone but Saturday called the phone # 800-620-0371 and their message said to check their website (which is either down or no longer exists) or call back later. Glad I googled their name to get the truth about this scam!

The same thing is happening to me like Renee 11yr old.they call me a lot of times a day.I don't answer they just keep calling me and leaving voice mail messages.It's really getting annoying i'm only a teen and they keep calling my cell phone they have no buisseness calling me so i just dont answer

These people were callingy 15 year olds phone. I called them, threatened that of they call my minor daughters phone again, I would call every regulating body I had to including the FBI to investigate why they are harassing minors. The lady was rude but said that she removed my daughters number from their list. We'll see, they had better hope so-I do follow thru wiggly threats.

I get those calls from tackhr group 800-620-0371 when I call back I get nothing and they keep calling and saying I am rude for not calling back.

I also got a recorded message (Fair Debt violation 1: they did not identify themselves as a collection agency). So i called back the next day. They told me I owed $100something dollars to a book club from over two years ago. When I asked when they mailed out my notice so I could request debt validation, they said on Aug 9th and since they were in NY, I should have gotten it already. So I asked for thier address to mail the request. They said they couldn't give me it. I either had to pay them the money or they would report the credit agencies. I knew this was a lie and told them it was illegal to not allow me to request validation. I knew I had 30 days..reporting it now would be in violation. She said she would give me til 9/9 to make my decision as to pay or not. I again asked for the address and she said she would not give it to me and was going to report it anyway. She hung up on me. I called back and spoke to someone else. They said they couldn't give me the address. SO..I contacted the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General for NYS, and the FTC for the violations. NYS is cracking down on such business and are very much interesting in looking into this further. I suggest to anyone having to deal with them, contact the NYS Att. General and file a complaint! Get them shut down so they don't harrass anyone else.

Takhar group keeps calling me and when I speak to them they promise to take me off their system because I have NO debt registered with them.  Still after 4 months, i continue to receive calls...

I have also received a message to call a Michael Johnson at the takhar group acouple of days ago but did not respond to the message because i could not place the number and have never seen that number or that name before and none of it even rang a bell. So whatever or whoever this company is does not sound good. Be careful people.

first thing i do is look up these things up on google. i was tempted to call back and give them a piece of my mind, but it is so clear that this group "takhar" is a SCAM.
please do not give them any information.

I have been getting these calls 2-3 times a week for over a month with the 'urgent business' message left on voice mail --How can this be stopped ?--It is so annoying!

these people constantly call my phone while im at work leaving rude messages saying they require a returned call or legal action will be taken... finally i answered and he asked my name i said no and he cursed me out hung up i called back again got a guy named kevin said that they were looking for some one johnson and i told him no that wasnt me he said yea its you, you owe us money and i said no he said whats your address i told him i wasnt givin him any information he hung up

sarah call them back and tell them to remove your number and if they continue to call tell them you will press charges for harrassment

A while back I got a call from a different company.They said I owed on a purchase from 2006, but being theSmart guy that I am I managed to call him out on several things that didn't
Add up.
1: he was unable to give me specifics on my purchase, he thought I got DVDs But I got music CDs.
2: the purchase was made by my father as a gift to me, my name was on theShipping info only and my dad paid IN FULL the company who sent the CDs would not Have sent them if he hadn't.
After that he became complacent and started dogging me for payment and at the time I had never had
A job let alone any money.  It took almost five minutes to explain that I had no way to pay over the phone and that I had to speak to my parents about it. I asked them to call me back in a week. It's been 3 months. I CALL SHENANIGANS!!!

the number of the people calling me is 1 866 441 5558, i keep getting a message from it

i get the same annoying calls..  nearly every day a recorded message from takhar group.  

the best thing is, i am a foreigner and just moved here 2 months ago, and pay everything by debit card since I don't even have a credit history in the US.  good job takhar.

Their IP address is 216.75.169.200, and the are using IIS. They refuse to abide by FDCPA because they are outside of the country. Rules of engagement:
1) DO NOT IDENTIFY YOURSELF.
2) INFORM THEM TO COMMUNICATE IN WRITING TO THE INDIVIDUAL THEY ARE TRYING TO CONTACT AT THE PHONE NUMBER THEY CALLED.
3) INFORM THEM THAT YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE CALLED AGAIN.
4) FILL OUT A PHONE HARASSMENT REPORT WITH YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT IF THEY CALL AGAIN.

If they call again, follow through. Report them to the FTC. Me, whenever they call, their website http://www.takhargroup.com slows down to a crawl mysteriously, and nobody can log on to their scam...;-)
