Got the little green card today in Bowling Green, Ohio and knew I had not ordered anything.  So glad I googled as I was sure it was some kind of scam.  Do you think they don't answer so they can somehow get your phone number?  Just a thought.

I work for the PO I seen many of these cards, please be careful, I got the same thing, do not call, they want your phone number for marketing purposes.

Rec'd same card with same return address.  However, the telephone number was changed on the card to 877-332-7775.

All they want is your number so they can sell the numbers yet another 3rd party solicitor

At least they're still at that P.O. Box in Whitehouse, TX...  The address was the only common link that led me to this thread.

I'm guessing they keep getting shut down by local law and they're playing whack-a-mole by changing their name, phone number and locations.  I wonder what needs to be done to shut them down for good?

Will have to try to scan the barcode at the bottom since that may contain more information than that which is printed on the postcard itself.  Note; top and left side of my postcard are smooth while right and bottom side are mildly serrated indicating my postcard was 1 of at least 4 (or more) in a printing.

I have attached the bulk of the resulting report but in case it does get clipped/trimmed you can view it in full at the above (last http listed).  I believe it is allowed to be posted here as per the BBB site it was not reproduced for either commercial or sales purposes.  Rather the intent was to gather information on an unsolicited green postcard received via the USPS that smelled of suspicious (possibly illegal) activities.  Activity which seemed suspicious to more than just myself, based upon the volume of responses to whoever started this post.

Customer Complaint History for CDA Consulting, LLC
This company operates under various promotional names with various vacation type offerings. Consumers allege the mailers are deceptive.

As of 2010, the company is sending out a card by mail, which claims in red letters, "Sorry We Missed You," and also in red letters, "Call To Schedule Pickup Notice," along with a package number. The card asks the consumer to call (888) 4-PAK-Del or (888) 472-5535 or (903) 839-1500. On calling the number, the consumer is asked for the twelve-digit pick up number. Consumers are told they have a free vacation package, then they are asked for a credit card number to pay for a, "...nominal delivery fee," which must be paid in advance.

Consumers state that they believe that Express Package Delivery is using deceptive marketing tactics, since there was no missed attempted delivery. Further, some consumers feel that by responding to the card, they have unintentionally revealed their phone number, which is on the national "do not call" list. These consumers are concerned that their phone numbers may be shared or sold.

In addition to the complaints reflected in this report, BBB has received a pattern of complaints (more than fifteen) that were sent for file information and to advise BBB what area of the country the cards were being distributed.

June 1, 2010 Ms. Mona Smith, responded to a certified letter sent to CDA from BBB requesting a meeting with the company. Ms. Smith expressed a desire to cooperate with BBB in addressing consumer complaints in order that they might improve their BBB Rating within the coming three year reporting period.

In September, Ms Smith contacted BBB stating that CDA Consulting (also known as Express Package delivery) does not ask for a fee nor do their marketing people ask for credit card numbers.

Please note: On February 22, 2010 a firm representing Global Vacation Network notified BBB of Central East Texas that CDA Consulting is not a d/b/a of Global Vacation Network.

The firm advised that, "GVN contracts with various independent third party marketing companies to identify prospective customers; however, GVN does not authorize or allow any such companies to hold themselves out as GVN or as a d/b/a of GVN."

While GVN was previously reported as a d/b/a of this company, we now believe that a consumer mistakenly filed a complaint against the vacation certificate product being marketed by Leslie Fashenberg, one of the d/b/a's of the principals in CDA Consulting.

Since that time, the vacation package has continued to be marketed for Global Vacation by the company that is the subject of this report.

This scam also uses the phone number 877 332-7775

I recevied the green card in the mail today from Combined Package Services Po Box 820 Whitehouse Texas 75791.  They want me to call 1-877-944-0788 to schedule pickup.  I live in Kalamazoo Michigan, I did not call when I read about this information.  Thanks everyone
