This notice is misleading to many people.  There really is no "package" to be "delievered" by a delivery service; this is a "FREE" vacation travel offer from Global Vacation Network -- a frequent topic of this forum.  To claim your "FREE" vacation travel package, you have to attend a "brief open house" (more like a 90-120 minute sales presentation) during which you and your spouse (who must also attend) will be pitched to purchase discount travel services that cost several thousand dollars.  The "FREE" item you might receive will likely be a voucher for future travel, but it will likly be of dubious value because of all the restrictions and requirements.  Email me for more details at:  jferron@ferronlaw.com.

I would strongly suggest everyone getting one of these card to fill in the form at the postal service fraud website USPS.gov look for report mailfraud

We also got the "sorry we missed you" card. I was immediately suspicious because we are always here due to a home business.

Got a postcard today from Express Pakcage Delivery, PO Box 131690, Tyler TX 75713-1690 that stated I had a pickup notice & sorry we missed you, call to schedule a pickup.  I was curious so I called.  A recording said to hold on my call was important and kept repeating to hold on.  I decided this was a scam so I hung up!  I searched it on the internet with the BBB and it is a scam, they ask for your package # and then tell you won a vacation and ask for a credit card #! I live in NC so this is where are circulating now.

I just received the same card in Columbus,OH area on 1-13-10,I am expecting a package but I did not beleive that all this was needed for it to be delivered,so I google the # and found this info,I also expected it to be a scam.same as all the rest.

Got the same card today. Got on here and was glad I did. Thanks for the heads up. Card is now in the trash.

Thanks I was confused at first

I live in the Columbus, Ohio area (a suburb) and got this card on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. I was expecting a delivery of boots I got online coming from Los Angeles, CA. I checked all my confirmation emails and it didnt match what was on the card. I called the number to find out what it was about and just got a recording that kept repeating "your call is important to us please hold" then moments later "please hold, your call is important to us".  The recording just said the same thing in different ways.repeatedly after only a few moments each time so I hung up.

Received post-card today and googled it to find this, just as I suspected. Thanks for this web site.  West Michigan

I live about 20 miles outside of Pittsburgh, Pa and got the same "fab offer" from Express Package Delivery on Jan 15, 2010.  Did not call - too suspicious.  Googled the info.  It seems these scammers are moving eastward.  Thank you - to both the service provider for this site and the people who logged their comments. I'll follow up with compalints to the USPS and my state attorney general.
