- Annoyed By These Wackos! These people call every day and leave recorded messages. I too, am a former student of Ashford. I too, was informed this is a bogus company. Please report your complaints to the FCC. It takes 5 minutes to fill out their form. http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm Hopefully this will put a stop to their fraudulent business with our phones.
- GailThe voice message was automated and difficult to understand. I called the number back and they said they had been hired by Strayer University to assist with my college loans; I attened Strayer last year. They had called several months back and I told them to remove my name from their calling list. I then talked to Strayer and they knew nothing about it. When General Revenue started calling me again, I told them I had paid off my loans and to remove name from their calling list. I explained again that Strayer knew nothing about them and was pretty much told I had to speak to the head executives; the person I asked at Strayer was not high enough up the ladder to know about them. The guy was nasty and said he wasn't going to remove my name unless I put it in writing. I asked him again to remove my number and all he said was "I'm terminating this call now!" and he hung up. They called again the next day and this time I asked them for their mailing address. You can send them a cease and desist letter to: General Revenue Corporation, 11501 Northlake Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45249-1643. This woman was very nice and said she would note it in the system and that would delay the automated calls coming to me until they could receive the notice and enter it into her system.

- SammanthaI have talked with people from this place and have gaven them my information. I went to kaplan and my student loans are past due. I faxxed them that i was in school so they would defer my loans and so far they havent been deferred. I am going to be calling them back as soon as possible to find out what is going on.

- pissed off| 1 replyWho are these people? I went to Kaplan, am curently in school and still pay on my loans now even though they are in deferment. To me this doesn't seem right. I'm writing a letter to the BBB and my congressman. This just seems like a bunch of BS to get more money.
- Dazednconfused replies to pissed offI just got a call from this stupid place and their call back number doesn't even work! I am attending Kaplan Grad school and am NOT behind on any loans. I don't know who these people are but they are full of it. My loans are not through Kaplan or "Grand Revenue Corporation!" I have my own lender so either way if/when they call me back they will get an earfull! I also emailed Kaplan to let them know and ask if they know anything about it. I hate that companies can look up our student loans and then if they get our phone #'s (which they shouldn't have access to!!!!) /addresses they call and write soliciting us to consolidate our loans with them, etc. It's all bull and I most definitely am not happy about it.
When I finished my bachelors degree I must have received 10 letters and phone calls a week from these various companies. When I called my lender they told me my student loans were public knowledge and I couldn't believe it! I said so there is nothing I can do to keep these companies from finding out I have student loans and then soliciting me? and the person said that's right! I'm still not understanding why there is no confidentiality with these loans, there most definitely should be and if not it looks to me like a federal oversight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The student loans are guaranteed and ultimately handled by the federal government and they can't keep our loan info private?????????????? LOL - mikeFor I just got a call from "GRC" general revenue Corporation, they wanted to last for of my Social Security number and my birthday.
The man said he was affiliated with ITT and he needed this information before he could explain the purpose of this call because of the privacy act.
I told him I wasn't going to give them any information but I would call my chair and confirmed that he was legitimate and then get back to him.
my school advisor who is the chair at ITT explained to me that this was a fraudulent call and do not give out any information.
He also explained that this had been an ongoing thing in the past and that they will report the fraudulent call to ITT headquarters.
The caller ID is 1 888 843 -9002
This is definitely a bad thing. Do not give out any information, and report the call to the police.- Caller: General revenue Corporation
- MaxJust received a call from GRC and it was the standard automated message, with a call back number. I'm current on my school loans, always have been, and it sounds like a scam to me. I was going to call back to get my name off the list, but from reading the comments, it looks like it would be more of a headache to do that than to just ignore further calls.
- Caller: GRC

- WTFI would like to know how the GRC found my direct office number. It's not bad enough that I have calls going to my personal phone, but now they are calling my place of work. I hope when the economy is done crashing all of the student loan debt in America will vanish along with it!
- Caller: GRC
- K. S.They had no idea what they were talking about. I also went to AI but refused to give personal information and he really didnt even know how to respond. I never miss a payment so its not for debt. Then he got awkward sounding, asking if I could hold and hung up on me about 15 seconds after that. Do not collaborate with them. Idiots.
- Caller: "GRC" calling for Art Institute
- Steve SchofieldSome automated line. Told me to call a number but I didn't get it, said it had something to do with General Revenue Corp and on behalf of Kaplan University. I got my masters degree there but my student loans are not through them and I am handling them.

- Shandra B. replies to Jeff BlodgettTHIS IS A SCAM!! I consolidated all of my student loans and this company claims to be a part of The Department of Education. I confirmed this with Direct Loans and they are in no way affiliated with with these people. Be careful giving out any information. They may seem legit but if you don't believe me please call 1-800-4-FED-AID, for more information.

- BaRReLCRaZyBRiTThey called me this afternoon on my cell phone and after asking for me told me I need to verify my DOB and SSN. I asked what the call was for and all they would tell me was it was personal information then she told me if I would not verify my DOB or SSN that I could verify my address.. I told her I think not Im not telling you any of my information unless you tell me who you are and what you are calling for.. If its that important mail me something. She then told me that the calls will not stop until I verify who I am and speak to them. I told her thats fine I will just simply change my number thank you and hung up. If they call again I will be calling and reporting them to the sheriffs scam line.

- perry in HoustonOn 4-27-2010 I did receive a call from this number by some peice of trash that was trying to speed talk.
I hung up on this idiot - DomesticsIf I ever run into Ebony Baggett or Monique, I will ring their cheating-no-money-having-won't-pay-their-bills necks for bogus-ly giving a random (mine) phone number to their creditors.
Select the caller from your Caller ID, program/save it in your phone and select "silent ringer" is one option.- Caller: General Revenue Corp

- 888-843-9002 ???I saw a similar # on the Strayer University website regarding GRC... http://www.strayer.edu/federal_financial_aid but in no way do I see it under my school's website. Not to mention the bank no longer handles my loans... the US Gov took over my balance.

- JessicaGRC keeps calling "on behalf of Strayer - Arlington." I have two loans, both are deferred for current enrollment and both were always up-to-date before deferment. I keep begging GRC and Strayer – Arlington to take me off their list. They both say they’ll see what they can do, but the calls and letters keep coming.

- AmyI am currently attending Kaplan University, and I receive these annoying call us back calls all day and now every day. I received a letter a little while back stating that Information had been stolen from an education site that has student loan info, but I miss placed the letter with the exact name of where it was that this happened.. but shortly after I started getting calls from a toll-free # to call 888 843 9002 for a Kelly McCormick from Kaplan General revenue service. I have only federal loans, and they are deferred. I refuse to give any info but the calls never end.
