- Jessica| 1 replyHI. I work for Student Outreach Solutions. That is the company that owns that number. We are a loan management counseling service. The schools (Kaplan, ITT, DeVry, Strayer, Ashford, Beckfield, Brown Mackie, The Art Institute) hire us to assist student borrowers. We are not a collections compnay, although I beleive there is one upstairs in out building. Student Outreach Solutions is a subsidiary of Sallie Mae, and we are just here to help. If you do not need assistance just tell us and we can stop calling or mailing you. The information we receive is from the schools not you lenders or servicers. Most of the information is not up-to-date so we may be calling old numbers that you once had or at places you once lived. Also we have to ask for date of birth to verify who you are. It is a federal law. Besides, if we didn't ask we could be giving your loan information out to the wrong person. We are a FREE service provided by the school for the student. If you have questions or are unable to make payments for whatever reason you can call and we will go over the options you have as a student-borrower. You can also go on to our website that is www.studentoutreachsolutions.com. I hope this clarifies some things for you. Thanks

- Jessica replies to JessicaI wanted to also add that the school by federal law has an obligation to you as the student-borrower to make sure you are aware of your entitlements. These would be the forbearances, deferments and repayment options available to you to use on the federal stafford loans. We simply call and make sure you are aware of these and see if you need any help. Most people who need the assistance the most are unaware because most schools do not do the best job of letting you know of the entitlements before you sign for your loans. There are laws that we have to abide by as far as calling your numbers. If you do not want us calling just call us and let us know. If you continue to receive calls, call and ask for a supervisor.
- AndyManIt's now called Student Outreach Solutions. Got a called from them but they were looking for someone that apparently had my number in the past.

- scIt appears that this company has a new number and a female who said her name was Mary. The person she was looking for wasn't home and she wouldn't discuss anything with me. The number that she called me from and left as a call back is (800) 436-5248.
- Caller: General Revenue Corporation
- shelly wagnersame number called me and said they were hired from chamberlain school of nursing to speak with me about paying my school loans late, which i never had. they wanted my date of birth also. i called the school and my school loan carrier today and they both said not to give them any information. the school nor the school loan lender did not hire them.
- BILL replies to JOEyes, thousands have te same birth date but very few with the same name. One piece of an identity theft puzzle
- Jamiethis company called me just now asking for Bill Huddle, I was curious and decided to call her back. The lady told me she was with Student Outreach Solutions, and proceeded to ask for my social security Number. I was more than shocked when she asked for my social fully knowing I was not Bill Huddle. She said she can look up to see if they handle any accounts with them and said that is all she was legally aloud to say. She then evaded my questions and hung up on me. I am also on the DONOTCALL Registry.

- JimI'm on a do not call, they have removed me 3 times (supposedly)... Check these guys out on LinkedIn ... This is the head guys third company (that he lists)... Looks like he's been doing this a while. Debt collectors trolling for information about their victims, which is illegial btw... Especially when they tell you how much the party owes (I asked how much the debt was to see if I could pay it so they would stop calling and they actually did).

- SterlinI just dont answer funky numbers. Had this one myself a few times was just looking up the area code and came across this.
- TeenyWell Frankly, I am tired of the phone calls. They are looking to speak to my daughters but they keep calling my house. That is a lawsuit for harrassment because I have told them to stop calling my house.
- Caller: Student Outreach Solutions
- Teeny replies to NoneAnd to add to this remark I am a co-signer on all the school loans my children have and no one called me or notified me by mail for payment. And why isn't the company sending mail on letter head with their companies name on it? What are they trying to hide. I did not bring my chilren up to make payments to stuff by receiving a phone call.
- Teeny replies to lawsuits against grcI'll be adding to the list of folks who have started lawsuits. They want information from you like who you are but wont give you information when you ask. When they ask for another number my daughter could be reached on I would tell them 1-800-kiss my ass.
- jamieIt is a legit company, they already have the date of birth and ssn, just asking for u to verify, once verified they let u know that ur loans are in default and they're trying to help by offering a repayment plan, as long as payments are on time and paperwork is returned within 2 days, you won't get the calls anymore
