I too got tired of them calling constantly and leaving a message, so one day decided I'd answer, let them know they had a wrong number but ended up with a "screaming" match on the phone w/these people.  Unbelieveable!  Couldn't get the caller to stop and when she finally took a breath I insisted on speaking to her supervisor.  She kept asking questions and only answer I gave her was asking to speak to her supervisor, this was the most bizarre call I've ever had.  Finally got a supervisor after much frustration, she wanted me to verify certain information, told her I would only if she provided it and I would acknowledge with a yes or no.  Everything they had was wrong, birth date/last 4 of social, and legal name.  I asked that they please delete me from their database, ended with supervisor apologizing.  Haven't had a call since.

This caller says they are from the University of the South in Savannah.  Don't know them and don't owe anything to them. Who are they?

I just recieved this call as well.  I followed up with Strayer University and they said they do not work with this company.  It is a scam of some sort.  Do not even send them a DNC.  The person who answered at this number insisted that they were the intermediary for your lender and me if I would become deliquant.  I haven't even officially graduated yet per Strayer....

I just received a call also, they said they took over my Sallie Mae student loan account and wantd my b-day for security reasons and they could also put me on a payment plan. I told her to call me back. In the mean time I called Sallie Mae they have know clue who GRC is and said to call there fraud number, and not to give them any money....DO NOT give these people any money they are a scam!!!!!!!!

Not sure about a scam, but they left a message on my phone looking for me saying they're GRC (General Revenue Corp) calling in regards to the Art Institute of Pittsburg.

I set up a payment plan with that school that was supposed to start in January and I just recently made a payment. As far as I know, I was never thrown into default therefore I refuse to call back GRC.

I'm already paying them out the [***] for another student loan and after many mistakes and bad experiences with this company I'll simply tell you they'll mercilessly rape you of every penny you have.

Over the past 6 months we have received a lot of calls from 888-843-9002, GRC. I  have sent complaints to the FTC as I am on the do not call list. I happened to be home today when they call and I answered it was an automated call saying it was a call for ******* ******** who the call needed to be returned to and a number. Not having a way to record the call I did the next best thing. I called back the number from the caller ID after spending 10-15 min on hold. A lady answered, I introduced my self and asked for a physical address so I could mail them some items. She asked me if this refered to a call for ****** ******* I said yes because that was how the call came into me. I was given the following address:

I informed her that ****** ******* did not take calls at ***-***-**** that it was a business. A consulting firm, and that further calls from them will result in an invoice to them for payment of my consulting rate. I told her what the rates were. (very high rate in hundreds per hour or part of an hour)

She asked what number I was being called at and I gave it to her. Supposedly she took it out of the system. I thanked her for any future business I which I could bill them, she said the phone calls have stopped. I said goodbye and hung up.

General Revenue Corporation they calling for the Art institute all they just wanted is a update on my current student loans.

Got a call from this guy that wanted to talk to my son. He would not tell me who he was or what this was about unless I had a power of Attorney for my son. My son called them back from work and they wanted his DOB  and said they were updating their files for AI where he graduated from, also wanted to know if he was making his student loan payments on time. I have since called AI, they are going to check in to it.

I am sick of these phone calls. I get 10-20 a day! Is there a way to get them to stop?

Ya someone called my job asking if my name was Shelly with the last 4 digits of my social security number. Said he was looking for proof of employment and if that was me. I called back and they wanted to argue with me. This is some Bulls**t!

I get at least one call a day from these people. They are mentioning Kaplan university. I have no connection to this college. Who can I call to complain and who can tell them to stop calling me.

Robo call from 888-843-9002.  Recording says it's from "General Revenue Corp." looking for someone with [possibly] the same last name as ours [different first name, however].  Internet search indicates number belongs to a collection agency [debt collection] that specializes in student loans.  I left a "contact us" query/note on their website ((http://www.generalrevenue.com/home.htm)), asking them to stop calling our home phone [we aren't the people they are looking for].

Note:  suggest you "google" this company before you decide to call them back...they have a checkered past...be cautious...

This number keeps calling my house...I have no deliquent loans or anything and they call and leave this phone number..How can I get them to stop.

I get calls from this number all the time and I was going to call them back but after reading all this...hell no! Some guy called and left his extension, this was at like 7pm PST, he told me he was in the office and to call him right back....yeah right like that is going to happen. thanks for all the post, I will definitely not be calling these [***] back :P

I keep getting calls from this number for a person with the name of Amanda.  I keep telling them that she is not at this number.  I have told them this about 10 times. They keep calling about 4 to 5 times a day.  Finally I got a person by the name of Katie at this number, and was told she would take my number out of the system.  Let's see if this works.

GRC/Kaplan called looking for Chante - no even close to my real name - .  I've had the same phone number for 22 years and no "Chante" has ever lived with me.  In order to flag the acccount with a wrong phone number, they asked for my SSN.  I refused and asked not to call my number again

GRC has been calling and leaving an automated "Call us back" message for a person who I have never hear of.  I called this 888 number back and was asked for my name.  I refused to give anything but my calling phone number.  The operator was nice and when I asked for a manager's number, I was given a name and a number.  I was not too nice, but I did let this operator know I was impressed by his professional attitude.  I may call the manager just to ensure that I don't start getting these calls again.

they are calling me landline so many times and it's getting really annoying. i had to leave my job and so i'm jobless and they probably will ask for repayment for loans when i am unable to do that right now. very annoying and they should at least be more legit than just an automated voice message. that'll look suspicious. my mom answered the phone and she started yelling at me for them keeping calling me and demanded me to call them back. GRR

yeah kaplan? uhh i too never went to kaplan university! yet they're calling nonstop!!!!
